As far as i know, they're not patch compatible, if that's what you mean. They might also sound a little bit different.

Really? I beta tested it, and used it ever since, and it was very stable from release onward over here. What host and OS do you have? Maybe I could give you some help, and forward your remarks to the developer too.

That's EXACTLY what just happened to me. Either Waldorf screwed up the direction to the Promo deal information/download or it is a scam to get you to purchase for full price. What a burn. I sent Waldorf information and screen shots documenting the process, but I have yet to hear back from them. I've asked for either a new working activation code or a refund. Either will do.

It's good to see I'm not the only one who didn't get the right link. I have a bad feeling about Waldorf getting back to me however. Hopefully NI can straighten this out. It also seems strange that ithe AU doesn't work in Live and the VST doesn't even show up.

Dang it. I was hoping I could make a patch in Largo and send it over to the Blofeld... Why can't Waldorf make that compatible? Seems like they could make more money for people who prefer the Largo interface over Blofeld's, but want to record with the Blofeld's DACs.

Oh well, I've been wanting to get Largo for a while, so this is a price I can't pass up. Nave is great btw for anyone on the fence. Bought that a while ago and it's much different from Largo (which I demoed before).

Maybe Mr.Ingonator can shed some light on this issue and get it straightened out. I followed the instructions precisely and wound up with the old version that I already owned. Once I went back through the process again, I got the correct Edition 2 download, but the previously sent Activation code (based on the previously sent Coupon Code) doesn't activate the plug-ins. Kinda sucks.

I'm sure it's a mistake - wait till morning, you won't hear anything tonight.

I'm sure too. Waldorf is a small company. They will certainly get back to you ASAP, and will get those things sorted. So, have a little patience. I agree it sucks when we receive something that's not what was expected, but mistakes happen, sometimes.

Yeah, neither Waldorf nor NI would pull off such a thing. With a little patience, i'm sure this will be cleared quickly.

I am patient. I am certain I will receive a response and help from Waldorf within the next few days....but I'm not holding my breath for any kind of response from NI beyond their automated trouble ticket.

It's because Largo and Blofeld don't necessarily share the same features. Nor do some things sound the same (effects are better on Largo).

Don't get a wrong impression, NI's support is superb. Not sure if they can do anything in this case though. But i'm sure they'll get in touch with Waldorf if there's something wrong about the license stuff. Actually, i'm not too surprised about this, same kind of sloppy stuff i've had to deal with on a lot of occasions with other companies. At least here in germany, this isn't really rare.

Waldorf just called me and we are checking the official downloads for Waldorf Edition 2 now. The files i had tested here recently were OK (on Windows 10, no Mac here...).
I also just checked the Windows download at the Waldorf website and that seems to be OK too so far (and identical to the version i had here before).

The link for the download at Waldorf should be this (take care not to download the LE version which is the old one and the license for the full version might not work there...):
http://www.waldorf-music.info/en/downloads-we-2

Both Waldorf and NI are currently checking the downloads of the new 2.2.0 version.

BTW it's around to 23:00 here in Germany now so usually nobody should be really working at that time, at least not at the official support...

Sucks that this sale doesn't include upgrades. Just upgraded Waldorf edition 2 from LE a month ago for virtually the same as the promo price for PPG wave 3.v (which I was slowly working towards). Same with xils 4, bought xil 3 recently secondhand for the same price as the xils 4 promo price, as xils seems to never do big sales and now the upgrade cost is almost the price of the promo. Perhaps, this comment will persude developers to consider existing customers
