This is the oddest death. RIP Prince, you were the greatest musician in history.

Hard to find youtube stuff which is sad. There is so much jaw-dropping stuff he's done that isn't "mainstream" and even that was heavily censored.

Except Frank Zappa, was there a more accomplished polymath musician than Prince?

Looking past his song writing and albums, the guy could play a lot of instruments with the best of 'em

Left of center all the way for sure. Not Hollywood, San Francisco, Miami or New Orleans. He built his mansion in Minneapolis

Maybe he was a gifted musician, a virtuoso even, but somehow his music and playing never really touched me. I always found his music mediocre, frankly

I remember buying his Purple Rain album, and returning it when I found out at home that there was only one good song on it

Anyway, it is always sad when people die decades before they should. Does he have a family?

Growing up I liked a lot of his stuff during the mid-80's Raspberry Beret, Kiss, and especially Sign 'O' the Times

I don't even remember which one it was that I liked, but I do remember that I was disappointed and the record store took it back and gave me the Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams album instead, which I loved

don't know why people find it hard to believe someone who isn't very old or very young can die of the flu.

tens of thousands die this way every year in the USA alone.

I am not sure, why force a plane to land and go to a hospital due to a bad flu?

I mean a flu is not a nice thing, but usually pain killers will help ease the pain over
