Forget it, Monty Python said it better
Now let this be a thread about RIP Prince, not your pointless arguments.

Prince would have wanted it this way.

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Yeah, 'isnt mainstream', 'heavily censored', 'not on youtube', basically everything that was already mentioned.fluffy_little_something wrote:A lot of songs there, but I don't know them, probably for a reason. I prefer the way Sade does it, little output, but all of it good.
Kudo's to you for admitting youre passing judgement on a body of work you 'dont know'.
This thread could use some of that 'little output, all good' stuff.

Did the salesman get that Eurythmics album out of the same bargain bin as Flock of Seagulls, Wang Chung, and Men without Hats? Legends all........fluffy_little_something wrote:I don't even remember which one it was that I liked, but I do remember that I was disappointed and the record store took it back and gave me the Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams album instead, which I lovedNumanoid wrote:Which one did you like ?fluffy_little_something wrote:I remember buying his Purple Rain album, and returning it when I found out at home that there was only one good song on it
Growing up I liked a lot of his stuff during the mid-80's Raspberry Beret, Kiss, and especially Sign 'O' the Times

Indeed, I don't know them. But, if they were great songs, wouldn't they have become widely known, regardless of his disputes with record labels?xNiMiNx wrote:Yeah, 'isnt mainstream', 'heavily censored', 'not on youtube', basically everything that was already mentioned.fluffy_little_something wrote:A lot of songs there, but I don't know them, probably for a reason. Which of those zillions of songs listed do you think are great? Maybe I can find 2 or 3 of them on YT and see what is great about them...

tens of thousands die this way every year in the USA alone.

crazy. i was literally typing her name out, but figured no one would get the reference so omitted it.
anyways, yes, that was very unfortunate.
I had the swine flu myself during that epidemic/outbreak in 2010 ... was hospitalised with it, but the place was so over run I wasn't there for long. Spent about ten days 'sleeping' sitting up, my lungs were so full of bloody fluid...lying down you couldn't breath at all, you were in effect drowning. was filling a few pots a day with this lung fluid.
haven't had a flu since though... (touch wood).
so ya, I'm never surprised or skeptical to hear someone has died of the flu...

Real great artist is gone. So sad. He was my idol (music and production wise) for decades. RIP...

Thousands die of flu here yearly. There are really severe types of flu, but there's also a lot of old, or young people with weakened body's defenses, which simply can't defend flu very well. A cousin of mine had the flu so badly that he couldn't leave bed for 2 months or so, because he was so weak.
