Sadly, I don't think that will help me, as I plan to use whatever synth I end up with for commercial purposes.(I.E., selling the music)GHOST19 wrote:If you're 16 don't forget there's a 50% educational discount for Spire.

Komplete players contains Reaktor 5 Player, Kontakt 5 Player and Guitar Rig (I think 4, but not the full version of course). The link I have posted it is for Komplete Players. You can choose which Player to install.zenophilix wrote:This sounds interesting, definitely going to give the demos a try. Two for the price of one, that's the kind of shiz I love.EnGee wrote:If your main DAW is S1 Artist, then I suggest to download Reaktor 5 Player (Reaktor 6 won't do). Then buy Razor and Monark from the Market place here in KVR (mostly will cost you less than $100 together). You can also download Reaktor Factory synths which are free and has a powerful wavetable synth (Carbon 2).zenophilix wrote:Zexila wrote:Which DAW do you use?
I use Studio One Artist, came free with my AudioBox USB.(The standard AudioBox, not the 22VSL)
I also use Live 7.0.18, which technically belongs to my father but he lets me use one of the licenses on my computer, but Studio One fits my workflow better overall. The Artist version of S1 doesn't allow me to use my own VSTs, but that's why I still switch between DAWs. I can't really justify spending $80 to unlock VST capability in S1 when I can easily bounce my synths between DAWs.
You can use the same setup with S1 Artist (which Reaktor 5 would appear and also Kontakt 5 players). You can find them in Komplete 8 Players here:
http://www.native-instruments.com/en/pr ... e-players/
Razor and Monark are from the best synths out there and can do a lot of sounds easily. They are my absolute favourites and I can live only with themAnd these will all work with S1 Artist? I know I've gotten Guitar Rig to show up in the effects area, I'm guessing because one of the NI Player bundles was originally bundled with S1(Or, atleast, according to my audiobox manual) And, just out of curiosity, why Kontakt 5 over Kontakt 6? The whole Reaktor/Kontakt thing always confuses me... Komplete, I know, but that's about it.

The promotional pics of Razor make me think of the crazy oscillators in Serum, hyped to check it out.
Edit
Reaktor, not Kontakt..
Edit #2:
I'm dumb.. I can't seem to find a place to download Reaktor 5, the link on NI's site leads to Reaktor 6.
Edit #3:
If I were to purhcase a copy of Reaktor, would it include the both the synths you mentioned?
I have S1 Artist and it can show Reaktor 5 (Full and Player) but not Reaktor 6. Reaktor 5 Player can only be obtained from Komplete Players as far as I know, otherwise there is only a link for Reaktor 6 Player.
All the players are free and comes with some instruments and effects. Reaktor Factory Instruments contains I think 3 very good quality. Carbon 2 is a great synth and has many options, but the interface is small. Anyway, it is a free wavetable synth programmed in Reaktor, but it can be played in Reaktor Player (free).
Razor is additive synth and for me is the best out there. Monark is the best Moog emulation. So, you have the past and the future in your hands. You can download the demos of both Razor and Monark and install them after installing the Reaktor Player, then you can use them for 30 minutes before the be silent! That's a lot of time! But you can't save I think or you can't load what you save. So, the steps:
1. Download Komplete Players
2. Install Reaktor 5 Player (and others if you want)
3. Install Reaktro Factory Instruments (free)
4. Download Razor demo, then install
5. Download Monark demo, then install
Then buy Razor and/or Monark from the Market Place here in KVR for half the price of less. Pay with business option in paypal and never pay with the gift option, so you can claim the money if something goes wrong
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Ah, got it. Not sure if you saw, but if I were to buy Reaktor 5(The full version) from someone on here, would it include Razer/Monark? Just curious.EnGee wrote:Komplete players contains Reaktor 5 Player, Kontakt 5 Player and Guitar Rig (I think 4, but not the full version of course). Razer, from what I've done so far, is pretty nice, but so far it doesn't quite compare with Spire, atleast IMHO. Monark is a lot of fun, even if it's not the most versatile synth, it's quite enjoyable to emulate the old-school sounds.
And yeah, assuming I can get PayPal to behave. Might end up just switching to Google Wallet.

No. It doesn't include them, but Reaktor 6 has some blocks from Monark (not sure about Razor). Reaktor 5 or 6 (full) has many synths and effects, I think total of 74 or something and you can also use hundreds (if not thousands) of free ensembles (only works with Reaktor full, not player). Look here:zenophilix wrote:Ah, got it. Not sure if you saw, but if I were to buy Reaktor 5(The full version) from someone on here, would it include Razer/Monark? I had Reaktor 5 before and sold it and I don't have Reaktor 6, so I don't know what new blocks are there for version 6.
If you really like Spire, then buy it for the 50% discount. When you release and earn money from your work, then buy the commercial version. But, at 50% discount, Spire can be all you want for EDM. The thing is you need another host. You can use Reaper till you can buy it for $60. It is fully working and you can see all the synths there. So, if I were you, I would download Reaper and the Spire demo and see how it is going with you, then buy Spire at 50% discount (great synth indeed, I have Dune 2 among other synths, so I don't need really Spire, especially I don't do EDM).Razer, from what I've done so far, is pretty nice, but so far it doesn't quite compare with Spire, atleast IMHO. I already have plans to release music, I've been working on trying to put together an EP for some time now, actually.EnGee wrote:If you really like Spire, then buy it for the 50% discount. Try this one

https://soundcloud.com/audjoo/helix-demo-jn-new-old
More or less in the vein of Spire, Sylenth etc, sounds good, pretty tweakable and only 75 USD

Another (kinda unexpected) suggestion - if you currently don't have a midi keyboard/controller you'll need that anyway. M-Audio Code 25 is 300 bucks and it comes with Air Loom and Hybrid (each of them costs 150 usd alone) which would get your synth needs covered for a long time

Dune 2 then from the market place! It has a wavetable synth and 3 operators FM synth with 8 layers. It sounds great and very inspiring for Dance music. Hive is also a great subtractive synth. You might like it.

Preset 16.... How is that just an arp?
And 4 MSEGs.... I need this. Are there a lot of third-party presets available/does it have a lot of support in the audio community?

Definitely Synthmaster. It's on sale right now for 69$. And if you need modern sounding preset, synthmaster website sell quite a lot of them for cheap price too.
You might need to spare some time to learn the user interface though.
I use it in all of my music alongside the spire and serum.

Not a lot third party banks compared to Spire/Sylenth but there are some. Check these out if you are into EDM/trancezenophilix wrote: Are there a lot of third-party presets available/does it have a lot of support in the audio community?
