I already have a number of favorite kicks in Kick 1 that I frequently use and I did create some of my own. I just want to make sure that nothing is lost or overwritten before I buy Kick 2.

Kick 2 looks awesome and the deal for existing customers is sweet. So thank you for that! :)

V2 does indeed install as a completely different app. Runs alongside V1 with all V1 data intact. :tu:

Anyone else getting a serious GUI issue/bug, though? Just installed, went well, etc. However, most of the app is scrambled and flickering. I sent a screen grab to support.

With that said, what I CAN access sounds great. Hoping to clear this up and dig in soon!

I am not sure if i am keen on paying 10$ AUD tax when they really should not be charging that to people outside EU. It's not much sure but why pay it? I'll have to think about it.
That's weird. VAT doesn't apply for non-EU residents, just as you said, and therefore it wouldn't be correct or justified if it's added. Normally, an online shop recognizes your location and if your IP-address comes from inside the EU then the VAT of the corresponding country is applied (UK +XX%, Germany +XX%, and so on). In other words, since you're from Australia the webshop at SA shouldn't even know how much VAT it should add, let alone add any VAT rate from any EU-country by itself. I'd reach out for SA directly to see if they can fix this.

EDIT: Just checked it myself and noticed that the final price actually already includes VAT. So maybe it's just a display error or something in your case. I think that the overall price would be the same. So if you end up with ~ $35 it should be correct.
For sure it's just a bug - you shouldn't be seeing the tax breakdown outside of the EU - your receipt should not show it after purchase as we geo ip locate you at time of purchase.
My whole point being that the included tax should be deducted right? So it should be 21 pounds not 25 right?
No, it shouldn't. The price is 25 pounds, whether or not this includes VAT. And that is perfectly fine, because everyone is paying the exact same price, no matter where they are from.

Very nice update and definitely worth the upgrade , Serum inspired GUI ? Actually SA absorbing the VAT for EU members is very cool.

Anybody else unable to download their license key after upgrading?

Post

Same here. I get an "Whoops, something isn’t working!" when I try to download the key...

Post

I could download the key from >View all downloads< >Plugins<. After the payment it wasnt possible and from the >My downloads< view I got the error message...

Post

Thanks, seems to be working now.

Looks so tempting. Also nice to have an upgrade price. Hard to resist but do i really need it...

Although this is a great plugin, I decided that ultimately I don't need Kick 2 for my needs. However, I asked for a refund and was refused by Bryan. I'm pretty sure this wasn't the case for Kick 1 (refunds were offered). And there's no demo on the site, which makes it more frustrating.

Post

Yeah, this 'no trial' decision is quite strange. I think they are losing lots of potential customers this way.

does their site actually HAVE a refund policy? If not, then there is no real right to ask.

Furthermore, this isn't like ilok plugins where the assets can be removed in a refund situation.

He would automatically think, "this guy bought it and wants his money back and will keep using it".

I am OF COURSE NOT saying you will do that, but if they gave a refund to everyone who asked, you get where i am coming from? A lot of devs just have blanket rules of no refunds and that makes sense.

On the other hand, absolutely, they NEED a demo version. I know i will love it cause i'm obsessed with kick drum sound generators whether software or hardware, so i am not so worried about no demo, but they should re consider that.

EDIT: by the way, i am pretty sure they allow transfers. Perhaps we can make the best of a bad situation and i can take it off your hands at a slight loss, that is, if you got the upgrade and can transfer just that.
AFAIK there is a demo as when I downloaded it first it said it was in DEMO mode for 14 days. To register open key file etc. What happens if you just download it ? or can you do that.
