I understand that making a library for Falcon requires Lua scripting. Does anyone have any experience in this that they can share. I have no experience in scripting

I am going through the http://www.uvi.net/uviscript/index.html to find specifics on library creation. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You can make a "library" of sounds in Falcon without doing any custom scripting. Custom scripting is just there if you want to push things a little further. I know nothing about the Lua programming language, even though I intend to learn more about it. But no, it's not a required skill.

Can you perhaps elaborate your answer of how to create a library/soundbank without LUA?

Yes investing time in LUA seems fun. If you have no experience in programming the learning curve might be steep, but at first glance I understand the concept basics. It looks fun too.

Post

You can use macros instead. Check out how factory patches were created.

A library as in soundbank, like the commercial ones? That requires some licensing of some stuff from UVI, asfaik.

Post

Well, only if you want your library to be listed in Soundbank section of Falcon. It's pretty much the same thing as Kontakt Player licensing. It can be done, but it's not obligatory. You can still sell libraries that are not encoded - they would be loaded from the Places or Devices section of Falcon's browser...

Maybe a bug.... When i use f.e. the "chaos rossler" or "chaos lorenz" lfo to modulate the gain (on layer or program level) and put it to the highest sync speed (64 triplets) it stops working and even changing to slower values doesn´t work anymore. The other waveforms works so far. It happens every time.
Too fast? :D

It looks similar to the -now repaired - problem with the extreme settings on the Ircam Scrub andStretch osc.
Perhaps contact the helpdesk if you haven't already.

Hi,

Udated to version 1.1.1 but it does not launch standalone, and crashes Cubase Pro 8.5.15 (windows 8.1) when it is in the VST Plug-Ins folder.

Un-installed it.

Reinstalled Version 1.0 , which launches OK as a standalone, the updated it to version 1.06, which also launches OK as a standalone, and in Cubase Pro 8.5.15

Neither version 1.1.0 or 1.1.1 are able to be used as a standalone or as a plug-in .

I find this very strange. and annoying.

Does anyone have this issue, PACE was updated to latest version for iLok2. so, I'm not sure what is causing this issue with version 1.1.1 of Falcon.

Any clue what could be the problem ? anyone having similar issues with version 1.1.1 ?

Thanks,
Muziksculp

I have bought it 2 days ago, install 1.1.1 directly on a Windows 7 x64,fresh install, work like a charm in standalone and in all my daws( i don't have cubase 8), perhaps, try to uninstall and, reinstall just the last version, sometimes you can have some incompatibility problem with older version( for falcon, i don't know but it occur with some other vst)

Post

1.1.1 working just fine here.

i don't find a lot of informations about the Layer Rules modules,i'm a falcon noob, if someone can help me understand how it works (keyswitch..) or send me an info link (not the manual, i have already read it:))
thanks in advance !

Post

They're pretty self-explanatory. The manual gives a basic description of how to create them. You'd use them for creating keyswitches, round robins, and so on.
