I don't think so. I think the last update has been 2013 or so. The price has been updated not long ago, and it's a lot cheaper now, but i figure that's also a sign that it will be left in the state it is now, and there won't be much if any future development.

Just checked the website. It's selling for $75 dollars at the moment, which I would go for if my income wasn't completely taken up with either saving or paying off debtschk071 wrote:I don't think so. Still sounds good in the demo though.

Strobe 2 it is.
Send me your details in a pm as well as what soundset you want and I'll arrange to send it to you.

I have Strobe 2 as demo for the moment and it is great. Quite easy to work with and it sound lovely. It sure has its own character so even though I already have (too) many plugin synths it sure will add something new to my collectionSatch1 wrote:@ATN69 I haven't upgraded to Strobe 2 yet either, because I'm still on Win XP. hopefully I'll upgrade my system this year and then I can enjoy the latest software from fxpansion

All I can say is buy it. It's an awesome synth. I'm not just saying that because I authored 60 of the patches for it, (I'm listed by my real name, Adam Smith, because of a miscommunication).ATN69 wrote:I have Strobe 2 as demo for the moment and it is great. As far as virtual analog goes there are very few synth that are it's equal. For instance, I've just taken a few Strobe 2 sequences I've put to audio to a mates studio. He's properly into his modular and analog gear, has spent a small fortune on all that and is a bit disdainful of VST created sounds, but in the case of the Strobe 2 stuff he was properly impressed. Along with Serum, Dune 2, Hive and Spectral it's one of my favourite synths of the last few years. Once you get into the transmod system and get a real feel for it you'll really be surprised by what you can do. It's a bit more than a run of the mill virtual analog and is almost like a modular synth in terms of the crazy stuff you can do with it. What more can I say ? I would recommend that synth to anybody who's into synthesis, electronic music and quality sound. QVC style infomercial over.

Nice! I like your work in Strobe2. Sounds great! I been following Sami (Ayin Zahev) and his work. I bought many presets from him and I follow his channel on youtube. He have some posts on Strobe2 as well. He showed how to make really snappy plucks with Strobe2. I tried it with other synths I own but I could never get that snappy feeling as with Strobe2. Thanks for your "Guess the synth" competition here. It was fun and challenging. It gives a good opportunity to really think hard about what is the typical character of each synth. I am an acoustic engineer so I know a thing or two about sound and since I was a kid I been working with various hardware synths. I mostly create my own sounds for my music but people like you are a great inspiration when I need to understand capabilities of different synth plugins. In most cases I actually bought presets from Sami and then I bought the synth that goes with it
Keep up your good work!
Cheers!
