OK!...so finally it's released:
Resident Resonance is now available for $15

https://soundcloud.com/madder-than-you/ ... resets-for

Resident Resonance by blortblort includes:
144 preset files (over 1100 snapshots...'presets within presets' ;] )
6 different "defaults" for your convenience if you decide to create your own sets... the basic instruction for automating snapshot changes in Ableton Live
1 alp file that contains a set with examples of clips set up to automate changes of the snapshots.

Thanks so much for all of you guys and gals support for ClutterFist ...next set will still follow in the same sort of vein, but using the magical toolset within Eventide's H3000 Band Delay. There IS much more elasticity in the single function generator as a modulator than meets the eye/ear in this plug in. Stay tuned!

...still working on these... will have demo ditties up soon. Stay tuned! :D

OK...so this is taking much longer than expected
Why?
this bugger is deep.
Also- I discovered after completing about (60 presets) that there is MUCH fun to be had by creating presets that contain snapshots...as those snapshots CAN BE AUTOMATED in your DAW ;]
so ...
at about what I was going to consider to be my "halfway point" I discovered that I have actually MUCH further to go if I want to keep the final preset file tally to around 120

so the "total number of preset sounds" will probably be over 300
(around 60 preset files with no snapshots...and then another 60 preset files with 4 to 8 snapshots built into them)

I did read the manual...and...
maybe I am just a bit thick, but it took a while for me to figure out just HOW to make the snapshots show up to automate...
I am running Live 9.6 and when you pull the Eventide H3000 Band Delay to a MIDI or audio track its default preset does NOT have any snapshots...therefore "snapshots" do NOT appear to be on the device's automation menu...however... once you either create a snapshot or load a preset file that contains snapshots- voila! there you have it: "snapshots" shows as an automatable parameter...and so the fun can finally begin ;]
you can then draw "snapshots" envelopes into either session clips or arrangement lanes on your tracks in Live! (FWIW, longer session view unlinked clip automations targeting Eventide H3000 Band Delay snapshots are just insane :D ...totally carve out some time to try this.)

anyhoo....
I promise-
next post, there will be noises. honest.

OK...
Here are some noises...

while the audio (...for what it is...and that is - nothing elaborate indeed...) should speak for itself in terms of what is going on: I start off with just the dry ep... then ep with Eventide H3000 Band Delay shifting from one snapshot to another at 1 bar intervals...then bring in the dry drums...then a few bars later, both drums and ep are being treated with the shifting snapshots.

This plug in is so very powerful. I have mostly stuck to the rhythmic element that can be evoked from use of shifting function generation times and feedback delay times but there are quite a few presets in the bag that use frequency shifts and sweeps in conjunction with the moving delays too... but... as stated in earlier posts- THIS particular project's timeline has become quite protracted as I have decided to include multiple snapshot presets WITHIN each individual file preset...so yeah- something that would have potentially been a 150 file set will now essentially consist of somewhere between 600 and 1200 separate preset setting (final set will be around 150 files, but each of those files has anywhere from 4 to 8... and a few- 16...snapshots)

The snapshots are where the POWER is with this vst, IMHO...
I am not sure how the automations work in other DAW's but I will be including instruction on exactly how to set up Eventide H3000 Band Delay (as insert effect...) to write automation in either Session or Arrangement view in Ableton Live once the set is completed. That is also to say: if one can set up automation of snapshots in Live, it can be done in other DAWs as well ;]
...and yep- in the demo above, that is what you are hearing: unlinked automation envelopes changing the delay snapshots for the ep and the drums.
Also- both the drums and the electric piano part are using the same preset: drumbik 4snps 80.tide

enough blathering.
just wanted to check in to let anyone who may STILL be interested know- this IS still coming despite all obstacles (last weekend, had to "tabula rasa" my entire OS hard drive on my laptop. disc diagnostics say it's failing... FORTUNATELY...its not failing so bad that I could not restore a clean install of windows, ableton and a barebones minimum to work with until i can afford to replace my current situation with a ssd OS drive and a standard in the secondary bay...too much tech and not enough music. ;P)

I will do my best to have more demos soon and hopefully the set available by 2 week of May...knocks on wood...

there is progress being made.
my computer is resurrected thanks to at least one friend who was interested in seeing the maintenance of "peace in the valley" in terms of my personal sanity ;] (Thanks much, Chris!)
So...
in the last 10 days, I have spent equal amounts of time working on the bank for the H3000 as I have "getting back to zero" in terms of setting up all my installs of my vst goodies, etc...

FWIW- if anyone has been thinking about redoing their system so as to use a SSD for OS and SATA 7200 HD's for storage...I highly recommend it. It is INSANE to be able to reboot my system in less than 2mins and be working again inside of those 2mins. This IS how a computer SHOULD behave since 1995 when I was dragged into the world of window (DOS was so much ...cozier ;] )

anyhoo-
It shouldn't be long now.

small taste for those who might still be interested?

while there are only 6 files in this demo set, there is a total of 40 snapshots ...DO test the snapshots out...don't just stick with the first one that pops up with the preset :D

any feedback on these is welcome.
tying up loose ends on this finally.
for those of you with Eventide H3000 Band Delays who are running Ableton Live- you are in luck:

the final package should include
144 preset files (over 1100 snapshots...'presets within presets' ;] )
6 different "defaults" for your convenience if you decide to create your own sets...
the basic instruction for automating snapshot changes in Ableton Live
and an *.alp file that contains a set with examples of clips set up to automate changes of the snapshots.

Resident Resonance release now available! use code SPOON :D

Bump!

Monthly bump :D

(if you own the Eventide H3000 Band Delay, please do listen to the demos...not because they're great...but because they show you a little about what these presets and the H3000 Band Delay can do  Its an amazing tool.)
