I've noticed Reaper can handle video as media items in a similar way to audio - on tracks.
I'm curious, can other DAWs do this? Can any use OpenFX (which are seemingly similar to VSTs and AUs, but for video)?
Can DAWs with video support use OpenFX?

Reaper is not an NLE. The point of importing video into a DAW is just being able to play it back in sync with your audio for the purpose of scoring music to video.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.
