Hey y'all, I've got some MIDI clips in Live 9. Want to launch them and record live MIDI into 'em, adding (not overwriting) what's already there.
Can this be done? The little MIDI input button for the desired track is red ("selected"), I can launch the clip and then press Record once it's going, I can press keys on my MIDI keyboard and watch the corresponding graphic "keys" in the MIDI clip light up red to indicate that MIDI is being received, but there's no sound from the instrument associated with the MIDI track for these new notes, and no new notes are recorded. The old notes produce sound like usual.
Any help?

Yes this can be done...
Are you pressing the Session View record button? This is different than the main record button (Play, Stop, Record).
The Session View record button is located right next to the "New" button in the transport bar.
