The shade and color of an object depends on the light. The blue color of the synth viewed at mid-day on a sunny beach is not more or less true to a another shade of blue it has in the evening in a nightclub.
No matter how much you calibrate your monitor it'll only show you the colors of the image.
Everything else is as saying that a black and white image of Marilyn Monroe would be shown in full "true" colors in a calibrated monitor. Because that's how she REALLY looked like...
...or the synth.

I don't want to be a PIA. I love the new one but the names of the knobs is a lot easier to read in the blue one, isn't it?
Maybe it's just the way the jpg is enlarged. Maybe the text (for OSC1, PW, OSC2 etc) can be made -bold-, or somehow "thicker"? Or even just black on grey? (sorry - the whole thing goes around in circles, doesn't it?)
That's just my £0.02 though - the new grey one is still great

hi John, not a PIA, but exactly what makes a good gui great! in the back of my mind i felt the same way about those labels. i think the problem was it needed more black above and below some of them. and also the color darkened a little more to even them out. as shown:jbraner wrote:I don't want to be a PIA. Aah yes - that little bit of extra black makes a difference! I wasn't sure about the less bright white - but the more I look at it it looks good.
I definitely prefer this newest update

For me it's nice.

It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

Very nice.
On the hardware device of the OB-12, isn't the white serigraph a bit bolder than the one you've done for the GUI ?

Layzer explained that the knobs and buttons positions are hard coded in the instrument, and thought for a GUI with big labels in the top and knob and button labels in the bottom. Changing this was problematic, as we can see. It is more faithful to the original, but some panels have the knobs too far from the labels while others have them too near.Boardwalk wrote:Nah. Modulation panel (grey one) is cluttered. Distance between bottom text and switches too close in comparison with the other panels.
