tbh the main problem for me is the presets coupled with the demo period, I've rarely come across a synth that has so many I don't like (most of them tbh). Now I'm not preset dependent by any means, I make and share banks for numerous plugins and always roll my own when it comes to making my own music, but given that the demo period is only 7 days that means you are more than usually relying on presets to get a good feel for what the plugin can do, I am too busy to sit down, learn this synth by heart and make lots of my own in just 7 days. So in this case the presets don't sell it for me.

Then Randomize! (using a suitable host like e.g. Cantabile) Maybe you get better presets that way! :)

Serum comes with a whole bunch of presets I don't like, which is why I rejected it the first time around. Thankfully another thread had me checking it out again, and just playing with sound design with it convinced me, and now it's one of my favorite softsynths.

I suspect something like that might happen with Wiggle too once I give it a try... if it works and doesn't make my CPU cry.

this synth have a lot of excellent ideas behind, the presets are not for me but for a V1.00, it's really stable, not a beta release, the dev feel serious, and the cpu doesn't cry too much, a lot of thing could be improve, let 's wait and see,
the motion and the seq are amazing, 2ndsenseaudio have a really great concept here, the price is good, i hope they will continue in this way ! i agree, a 7 days demo period is a little quick .

more i play with it, more i like the deep simplicity of this synth :)
i really hope the dev go to push it with additional feature, at the first try, it can feel like a toy, but with some time and practice, wiggle can be really versatile and can produce some complex timbres without yo much effort !
the morph pad is dangerous, i know stobe 2 and Cypher who can morph between presets, someone know another synth with this feature?

I don't know how I missed this one. Shame it doesn't work on Win 64 bit. I was going to download the demo.

Hope they put in a fix soon.

NI Reaktor, FM8 and Kore 2 (which also adds preset morphing to almost any plugin)

Demo worked fine here on 64

Well, it is a known issue if you look at one of their replies. So I guess you're one of the lucky ones.

People report that it works if your DAW machine is connected to the internet
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

right, for the 7 days demo, you must be online everytime you open the plug, after that, if you buy it,one activated, you don't need to be online anymore (online and offline authorization )

Stupidest demo ever - so it has no sound after 7 days which means no one who tried it when it first came out can try the update to see what is improved. Talk about shooting themselves in the foot! Oh well good way to save me some money.

Anyone getting heavy cpu spikes when using this? It's reaching 90-99+ here. Way more than Serum, which is my hardest hitting synth.

Other than me having a pos computer i actually kind of like Wiggle.

Yes it's definitely got it goin on in the way of modulation - one whole screen devoted to the 8 x 8 step sequencers, can see the waveforms for the 4 Ops respond in realtime, patch variation snapshot morphing, and the waveform points can be realtime position modulated, like Glass Viper (as someone already mentioned)
got a big, evolving digital/FM sound to it (but may be aliasing going on?)
I find it very interesting that you can modulate the FM matrix nodes, trying to remember if there is another synth that does that - I think FM8 does, but not realtime visualized, and a more cumbersome GUI

[edit] not so sure after looking at FM8 again, I think the modulators there are affecting the amplitude of each operator, not the individual carrier/modulator relationships themselves. Also FM8 uses the old frequency ratio/offset from the fundamental for op tuning, whereas Wiggle can use oct/semi/cents as well as added harmonics or a continuous offset (more intuitive)

After playing with it for a while, I have to agree with others here - the sound quality isn't up to what I may have hoped. It's a great thing for the harsher tones, lots of fast movement and probably certain EDM genres, but overall the sound quality underneath is lacking a bit on its own. Same with the effects. FM8 and Glass Viper have a much better underlying sound, for example, when I loaded them up again too. But, the design concept and GUI are great, would be nice if in a later release they updated the engine to improve the sound.

[edit] since I first posted this they have "updated the engine" and I could hear a definite improvement in sound (they restarted demo period also at that time.) With that, I snapped it up during Black Friday sale
