Whenever I double click on a phrase to edit it in the Phrase Editor, all the velocity levels for all notes is dramatically reduced. I have to adjust the velocity back to 127 for al notes. MAC

Just guessing, but is it possible that you hear the phrases louder in the composition because you used some variation that affects "note on velocity", like Expression, Velocity or Velocity Generator on the track, for example?
When I set the velocity to 127 for all notes, and apply the changes, next time the velocity remains 127.

I am not sure that storing many phrases in the history like in a folder is a good idea. It gets confusing because it is not easy to access the phrases. I prefer saving the phrases in the browser, in groups (folders). The only function of the phrase history is not to loose any previous good phrases, when a new phrase is generated. I would not want to make it more complicated. It is much easier to access phrases in the browser. At least it should be.

Hi Attila phrase store in browser folders is ok too. I test if i can create folders. it sometimes work sometimes not. When i want save a phrase to rock\seq1, the folder is not create. i try several time but some folders are create. I only did not know when it work when not. press right mouse over folder does not open dialog for delete. Also when i later want store more phrases the folder in the save dialog is lost and new phrase stand always in. I think it is better if the last folder stay in.
I also notice it is possible to select in phrase browser several phrases at once with shift or click if a folder is open on folder. when i move for example 3 selected phrases to a place in song, i get only the 1. phrase in song, and history show 1/1. where are my other 2 selected phrases ?. if all 3 phrases are load in and history show 1/3 or 3/3 is good too

recently i am trying to use (RCv3 b18 x64) standalone via Settings
Midi in / Receive midi start stop continue and Receive midi song position with Reaper..
working beautifully so far !

only thing is
i cannot open RC after Reaper or while Reaper running,
RC crashes very often.

i don't know
if there is a order in this case (this is something new to me)
or could be specific to my system or just a bug..

funny... this connect / use two daws via midi sync was a new discover to me
last week i connect Audiomulch & Reaper first, then i realized what about RC! ... two days ago
then i found this (bug i guess)...

i wouldn't call "prefer" but
in my case,
i am using most of the time standalone... Midi Sequencer only
(with Windows MME audio... so not even Asio) and hosting instruments in Reaper.
just because of my phrase library takes a little long (approx 70 sec) to load on first run...
i think keeping RC always open after first start, become to my semi-habit in time...
because of load/close projects fast & independently.

i hope it makes sense.

"Audio Settings / Asio and Audio Disabled" combinations...
result was the same.

as a final:
this is not so important to me...

Hi yellukhan,

I tested RC with Reaper today a lot, and I found they worked well together. I used the same setup as yours, except I did not know which software you are using for creating virtual MIDI ports.
I use the excellent loopMIDI, where I set up ports "1. Internal MIDI" and "2. Internal MIDI" and used as on your screenshot.
I suspect that there may be a MIDI feedback loop in your set up, so RC receives the same data that it sends.
Maybe somehow "1. Internal MIDI" and "2. Internal MIDI" are connected internally.
If you are not using loopMIDI, I would gladly run tests with another virtual MIDI port driver.

i am using LoopBe30

no there is no internal connections between midi ports
1.Internal MIDI ----> for Send clock to RC and Audio Mulch
2.Internal MIDI ----> for Receive data from RC (this also my default out port in RC)
30.Internal MIDI---> receives data from Audio Mulch... not relevant in this case.
(i am not running RC and Audio Mulch at same time ...well ...i tried just once for out of curiosity and they worked well)

i just think aloud:
i see all my 30 midi ports ready to use when i switch track Instrument to
MIDI:General Midi mode... is this mean they are active all the time in RC ? even when they are not selected?
if yes, maybe it could be useful to have an extra setting to select which port you want to access in track inspector.

if i am the only one have this issue please just ignore,
because:
disabling 1.Internal MIDI and re enabling after RC run fixes it!

RapidComposer v3.0Beta19 is available!

This update contains fixes for 3 bugs as well as rhythm editing improvements.

Changes since v3.0Beta18:

• Editing note velocities in the rhythm editor by Ctrl+right click
• Ctrl+click in the rhythm editor will remove a note (previously only right double-click removed notes)
• The note colors in the rhythm editor are consistent with the new note shading setting
• When multiple chord boxes are selected (by Shift+click), chord suggestions show all the selected chords at once
• Bug fix: inconsistency in phrase history when dropping a phrase on another one
• Bug fix: fixed saving VST internal state as a preset (crashed when selecting the saved preset)

Ok.. having another look at this, after quite a break. Wow..! Lots new to discover...

Have installed the latest beta19 (over the top of existing v2.9 I presume..? Just followed all the default installation settings). Straight away I noticed however, I cannot find/make any 'handles' (arrow pointers..?) to appear when I hover my mouse over the applications edges/corners, in order to grab and re-size the whole thing..! Is it locked to whatever size it opens at now..? Seems I can at least click and grab the top bar (of the app window) to physically move the whole thing around the screen a little.

I am on Win10 and 64bit, 16Mb RAM, NVIDIA GTX750Ti graphics card, using RC as standalone.

Anyone else..?

Try putting your mouse arrow/cursor over the bottom right corner of the app and dragging without waiting for any handles to occur. I think that may work.

But, just tried, really carefully - still no joy; seems that whole little blank square at bottom right corner, is a completely dead zone - clicking anywhere there is doing nothing; same around every other edge/corner here...

Does this work for you..?

I can't remember I had this behaviour, back in the v2.9 edition - I think I was able to resize ok, grabbing a corner or an edge without a problem...

Just tried in stand-alone and got the double-headed cursor which allowed me to resize.
