Hi all I made some changes to the song I posted last week. At FL I got some good feedback on somethings as well as somsuggestions from Mystar here.
Ok here is Pour Me Another (click link at the bottom)...here's what I did
Drums- I re-rendered the drums but in Vsampler I panned out the drums some to bring them around you. I eq-ed them different in AA, there a little thinner but sound better IMHO
Bass- a little more eq and dropped it in volume
Guitar-nothing except a little mixing
Organ- again another re-render except I muted the pedal manual to cut out some of the bass
Synth- I just tried to work the different synth parts in the verses to accent but not distract the vocals
Vocals- Actually this song had and still has 5 vocal tracks, 3 tracks are the singing and 2 tracks are just the spoken parts. The singing parts are two parts hard panned left and right, those have the chorus added, this version I lowered them quite a bit. The third singing part is straight up the middle with only delay (the same delay applied to all five vocal tracks). I pushed that up some and did some eq work on it. The spoken parts are two tracks panned 20/20 or like 10 and 2 oclock. I also did some eq on those as well.
So tell me do you feel like you moved up to the stage? I do like this version a little better. But the guitar and vocals are more focused on then before...of course all feedback is welcome.

anybody??? it seems some still feel like and I quote "it was recorded live with a small recorder". I though I addressed that but what do others think...and what might you suggest as a cure. My other music doesn't have that feel so I'm wondering why this does...

cool thanx cause I'm running into some wierd things...it sounds fine in any software but windows media Roxio, AA, both fine but windows it's like a bad compressor breathing. But it's not the song I rendered a song from a commercial cd rendered it to mp3 in both AA and FL. Again in windows it sounded horrid but in roxio or AA is was fine...Crackbaby wrote:Ir worked now
