I use AppleMusic and prefer it to Spotify but I wouldn't dream of adding my own tracks to iTunes - if they are not in iTunes they don't risk getting uploaded/deleted/etc. It's perfectly possible to maintain a music collection separate from iTunes, I have both side by side, all my rarities, bootlegs etc I also wouldn't let near iTunes, and I keep a separate FLAC collection of all my CDs, but what goes in AppleMusic/iTunes is stuff I want to access when out and about and that I know is available in iTunes anyway. Applemusic doesn't touch what I don't let it near.

Look Lassy!
More Apple conspiracy theorists.
Fear mongering jealous pc uptighters.
Apple is the best company in the world.
Deal with it.
edit: Save the average thread reader of this some time.
A blogger who doesn't know what he's doing...complaining about it, by blaming the company instead of himself.

Tbh, i don't buy that story either. But then, i neither use Apple Music, nor do i own a Mac, nor do i feel like owning one. But it seems a bit weird to say the least. Probably rather a case of user error, some option which hasn't been deactivated, or set up properly. For example, there's an option on Google Play Music too, which uploads all your music to your online space. Same on Amazon.
