That sounds odd. There are three keys to ST2:
Digital ID: This number changes depending on the configuration of your computer (I think it's just the main OS hard drive).
Serial Number: This is an unique number given to you by IK Multimedia. This never changes.
Authorisation key: This is a number generated by IK Multimedia based on your Digital ID and your Serial Number.
If you are getting the registration window again (ST2 has become unauthorised), then it's probably because the Digital ID has changed. Now, you've said that you have not changed anything. There are two possibilities I can think of:
1) Some change you (or some software on your computer) made, but you don't remember it because it seemed insignificant, but just happened to modify the Digital ID of ST2. In this case, don't worry - just hop to IK Multimedia's User Area and grab another authorisation key. The process should take less than five minutes. If you've already used up your three authorisations, send an email to IK (use the "send support request" function in your user area), and they'll give you some more. They should probably get back to you within 24 hours.
2) You might have a virus or other bizarre software that's modifying your system. It's very unlikely, so I recommend you re-authorise following the above instructions. If it happens again, then I suggest you reinstall your operating system (clean install), and then only install the bare minimum software required for making music. Use a separate computer for internet (web, email, etc) and other non-music tasks.
Hope you get it working again.
Forever,
Kim.

Thanks Jeez.
You should contact IK tech support to troubleshoot your system and see what is up. www.sampletank.com/support.html
