Is this able to ride the signal without the SC?
I see the oscillator method, but haven't been able to figure it out.
For example, I'd like the signal RMS to stay close to -20 dB, is that possible with this plugin?

Yes you can use the oscillator instead.
You can use the enhance knob to change the level.

It still doesn't do anything. I am not using any soundchains, just the oscillator on one track only. The volume stays the same when I lower the output to make it even, no changes in volume over time.

Hi all, sorry to resurrect an old post but was hoping someone could point me in the right direction...plus no-one was able to answer my question in the effects forum. This is "kinda" verbatim what I wrote there:

"So I've managed to get Vocrider to work i think but I'm really not sure I've done it right.
In Cubase I've made a stereo group channel with duplicate of the vocal track and the output of this is the sidechain input for VocRider on the actual main vocal track, is that right? Because it does seem to be riding the actual main vocal anyway. Because I read something about using white noise instead (of a copy of the vocal), but I don't see how that would control/ride the levels? So my main question is should I be using a copy of the vocal as the sidechain input to Vocrider on my main vocal?"

Since reading this thread, an new additional question I have is: "What/where is this oscillator control that's been mentioned?" As this sounds like what I was after all along. I'm using v1.3 btw.

Two other quick questions:
1) If my above method is correct (copying the vocal), should i nudge the copy of the vocal so that its fractionally before (faster) than the actual vocal?
2) Is hand drawn manual automation still better than using a plugin such as VocRider?

Looks like everybody left you hanging on this one. As I don't have answers to your questions, unfortunately I'm gonna have to leave you hanging too.

Did you contact Mr. Terry West with your inquiries? That's what I'd do if you never figured out the plug.
