Took vurt's plethora of Speak & Spell samples and molded them into (what I think is) pretty interesting percussion. Plus a nice melodic tune came out of it as well. All done on Orion using the samplers, VB-1, Ethnosphere, and my own 6 string axe.

didn't know quite what to expect - what with "I'm almost too 'Bjorky' on this one"
but it's quite pleasant (not saying that bjork isn't, it's just on first listen, well one never knows.)

Thanks guys as always. 
vurt really got some choice bleeps and blips out of that box of his. And after I extracted and/or shaped them, I thought there's no way in hell I could ever use these. Low and behold, a rythem happened, then the chords, then the melody - holy shit, it's a SONG! 
But I agree Shane, I was tempted to 'mess it up' with effects and such as I'm want to do. But for some reason the song doesn't need it? It's nice when just a good song flies out of the mind and sounds as good as a sunset looked on Tuesday without any extra paint.
And too, I've been giving Rich big kudos over at Synapse for Orion. It just boggles my mind how quickly this song was done, and now you guys are checking it out. I'm sure critcs would say 'That isn't a good thing if it's rushed like that?' But thinking back 10 years ago - A: I wouldn't get samples like these from vurt as easily, B: I'd have to degrade them with a SU10 or old Akai sampler, C: Sequence all the different hardware and chain them via MIDI, and D: record it all onto a 4trk cassette using Dolby C!
So maybe this song was a 'fluke', or maybe through years of perserverance I actually learned something along the way to 'speed the plough' so to speak.

You and Whyterabbyt made a good investment is all I can say. If I had my own wacked up Speak & Spell, I still couldn't snag the sounds you did!
