EvilDragon has always been a "who needs enemies when you got friends like that" type of guy with UVI.

VB3 V2
I'm a massive fan of VB3
, but the B5, whilst being different, is a step up from the usual sample based libraries imho. I'm organ crazy, so obviously I need EVERYTHING
, but with this, VB3 and Hammr+/Growler I think i'm set(ish)
.
I'm a massive fan of VB3

Will VB3 2 for Mac really happen someday?
Is this B5 better than NI Vintage Organs?

That is not true - you know I love Falcon for its merits very much!otristan wrote:EvilDragon has always been a "who needs enemies when you got friends like that" type of guy with UVI.

As for UVI-powered products - I am a HUGE fan of Virharmonic's Bohemian Violin, and I openly say so. Pretty much everywhere. But I digress
IMHO yes, it does have more presence and effects seem better.waltercruz wrote:Is this B5 better than NI Vintage Organs?

Almost certainly not, according to words straight from the mouth of the horse (Sorry, Guidowaltercruz wrote:Will VB3 2 for Mac really happen someday?

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Kinda can't blame him. Trying to support OSX has become hell with the OS updates breaking stuff all the time...Spitfire31 wrote:Almost certainly not, according to words straight from the mouth of the horse (Sorry, Guidowaltercruz wrote:Will VB3 2 for Mac really happen someday?)

Might Blue Cat's Patchwork be used to host Windows VSTs on OSX?

I use Logic/Mainstage Vintage B3 when using Mainstage and Vintage Organs when using Ableton, both with Melda MVintageRotary, but I really would like to use the same on both DAWs. (I could use VO on Mainstage, but Vintage B3 is better).
I liked the audio demos of B5. I probably will get it when my financial situation gets better.

I ran it through the Kazrog Blackverb earlier today, set fairly crunchy.
It sounded mental! In a good way

The VB3 has been my go to Hammond sim for years after the NI B4,Charlie(now UVI retro), despite having to to use the quite reliable JBridge on Mac. After a few minutes with the AS B5 I have not touched the VB3!
Thought I would miss the variable Leslîe acceleration control, but so far I haven't.
Would also like to acknowledge the support team for super fast response to my question about the B5 intonation, which they quickly addressed by adding a tuning control.
I use the Audiofront Quatro USB to midi gadget for volume and Leslie pedals-works great with any brand expression/sustain pedal-totally configurable.

Anyone have a potential timeframe for v2?EvilDragon wrote: At any rate, VB3 v2 is going to kill them all for sure

My private hypothesis is that a VST VB3 v. 2 version (there will apparently not be a Mac version) is pretty low on Guido'a agenda right now. I think that he's got his hands rather full with the various Crumar instruments and they all come with HW dongles. In fact, they are HW dongles.ImNotDedYet wrote:Anyone have a potential timeframe for v2?EvilDragon wrote: At any rate, VB3 v2 is going to kill them all for sure
If you really can't live without VB3 v.2, just get a MOJO.

Which has more balls: VB3 or Acoustic Samples B5?
