Logic does perform good and X should be even better with all the updates that addressed some of the things, but still one will hit the limit soon, especially with Alchemy and all that effects mangling that goes into some of patches, try playing chord with "Epic Cloud Formation" patch for example. (yeah, had a chance to play with X and Alchemy hihih)

Better just get new machine instead, that's really not that cheap alternative, also Logic stock stuff is great and doesn't tax resources that much.bill45 wrote:You could get a Uad satellite and take a load of the cpu and get great EFX too.

Care to share the link to that site, there's nothing on their official one.bill45 wrote:I just got an email from apple.According to their site you can get a mac mini with i 7.
I thought that they discontinued the mac mini with the i7.

When you select it in the store click on the cpu section and it gives you an option for an i7 (still dualcore though - not much faster than mine)

Would be good to know what sort of i7 it is, presumably not Skylake? Is it even Haswell?
