just received a message from output support, that it really does require Win 8. however, they are looking into implementing Win 7 compatability in the near future.

No windows 7 support? What's special about this plugin?
There's already the Sugar Bytes plugins, NI Molekular, Izotope Stutter, Glitch, LFOTool, Eventide plugins.

Indeed. And I would add to that list Tantra and Sequent.
At first I had the impression that this is a very interesting plugin, but then I watched the videos on their website. Now I'm not impressed at all. Only 6 FX types, basic stuff. No granular-based FX, or other more exotic stuff. No advanced routing schemes. No demo! No Win7 support. Pretty expensive.
The only thing I really like is the GUI. Other than that, nothing fancy here; you can accomplish pretty much everything Movement does with less expensive plugins (and all of those have demos and Win7 support).

Im sure its a cool FX plugin like theyr products!

couldn't agree more.
while I do love the GUI on Movement (and all the Output products!), Tantra's mod options completely dominate just about any other dynamic multieffect sequencer...and I SO love Sequent as well...and while these are not completely "apples to apples" comparisons to Movement, there is enough "seeming" overlap that I cannot justify the expense (and the "Win8 or up" makes it irrelevant for me anyways ;] )

You can add Cable Guys FilterShaper and Artificial Audio's Quartz plugin too.

Love GUI, but does not cover new ground to justify the purchase.

Another Output "engine" that completely fails to impress me. At least the teaser video isn't completely insane this time around... but the sounds in their demo aren't particularly appealing and many of them just seem like basic tremolo.

I'm still using Camelspace and PSP Nitro, which are both either ancient and discontinued, as my main multi fx units.
So, I've been thinking of a replacement for a while, but I can't figure out whether this is mostly another glitch tool and something more along the lines of Signal as an fx unit which would be much more up my street.
A demo would have been very nice.

I think I might have to have a look at Tantra and Sequent, which both has completely escaped my radar.

Still, $127 at Audiodeluxe is a bit tempting.

Even at $127 I still think this plugin is overpriced for what it offers.
Tantra has pretty much the same features (plus a Glitch module for stutter/reverse effects, plus more effect slots per instance) at almost half that price.
Sequent, at around the same price as Tantra, has a fantastic routing scheme and a powerful looper module.
Or, for $119 you could get Turnado, which has way more effect types than Movement.

I would think supporting Win 7 and Win 10, but not Win 8 would be a better way to go about it.

Do users wanna get stuck on Win 8 when they can upgrade to Win 10 for free...

Slightly different but similar is Sugar Bytes Looperator. I was very interested in Movement but on closer consideration I think for now I will pass as I have Tantra and the Sugar Bytes bundle and am not seeing $127US worth of value in Movement Without a demo its hard to tell. I've emailed Output to let them know I will wait for a demo and ideally license transfer support.

Without a demo, how would it be possible for MusicTech to say on release day that:

“Output’s first foray into the plug-in world demonstrates the same creative spark as their innovative instruments. It surprised and delighted us”

I do not hope Output think those kind of endorsements can moonlight for a proper demo, that users can try out for themselves
