What defines "contributed a lot"? I'm not yellukhan, but a few of my feature requests made it in to the program.

I notice in 3.0 release version, that in the Save rythm dialog there is a group entry. so i can add a group. but the save dialog see screenshot have no entry for group. see screenshot. older versions too have not this entry. the problem that browser not refresh when create a new group so need restart rc is still in

Hi,
Generators has their default directory path according to your "Custom Phrases" folder (Settings/Locations/Custom Phrases)
(for example D:\RC\CustomPhrases\Generator Presets )

you can re organize after save done... as i did for Melody Generator presets as in this picture.

I have a question about some unusual behavior. I have a line filled with identical phrases. I open one of the phrases in the phrase editor and shift two notes. When I "apply changes to phrase in composition", the velocity of all notes in the phrase is set to the same value (and this value differs from the velocity of the other parts in the line, leading to a noticeable change in sound).

Is this a bug or a feature? And: How can I change the pitch whilst keeping the velocity the same?

I don't know if this is a bug:
V3 release version
stand-alone - add locations path to custom phrases on ext. hd - ok
open vst in daw - locations settings not reflected for ext. hd yet
Will set for vst also; I thought probably setting once for stand-alone would transfer to vst locations settings.

For rythms you need not reorganize, because there is another string gadget for the group (a subfolder). I like phrases too in diffrent subfolders to see what phrases can fit together. and wy have the save phrase no group gadget, but the save rythm ? . with rythm all work ok. in the 2. page of phrase tab can set a group and a name can add in rename as. but this do not work. please try out yourself. see attach image how save rythm look. this work ok.

Hi magicmusic,

I added a group entry in the 'save phrase' dialog.
It is still set to "Generator Presets/Generator Name" but you can edit it.

Hi Attila thanks, see screenshot. there is a entry group in phrase page. i have set the subfolder here, but it do not work and not store in this subfolder. maybe you can use the name from here and add it to phrase store folder. Or please explain what can do with this entry. what should To Group do ?

When I tried, I found a problem with 'Save Selected Phrases' and a bug with saving phrases. I am working on the fix.

I'm struggling with 3 things:
1) version 3.0 crashes very often for me, every few actions

2) after saving a project and opening it later, some of my vst's occasionally lose their settings. EZDrummer2 stops making sound completely after a save.

3) when I edit notes in a phrase and save it, the velocity of all notes in that phrase is set to a constant value.

Maybe I'm overlooking something obvious, but I couldn't find anything in the manual that would explain this behavior..

Hi Distortedboy,

I think the problem is with the installation. Please remove and reinstall the program like this:
1-right click on installer, choose Properties, click on "Unblock", Apply/OK
2-right click again and Run the installer as administrator.
For some strange reason this has helped many times in the past when someone had mysterious crashes.

I'll check the other issues now.

Dear Attila, I proceeded as recommended. However, this did not fix the problem. Losing my VST settings after reloading is extremely frustrating in combination with the frequent crashes, because I am forced to reload so often.

maybe when you remove the vst plugin that lost settings in rc3 settings vst so that .rcinst file is delete too(back up old, maybe you need it later). now add the vst again. maybe it help. I notice too problems with too old .rcinst files, or vst is load from wrong directory on start.

Hi Distortedboy,

today I tested EZDrummer2 and indeed it becomes silent when you load the composition next time, and it crashes sometimes. After some debugging I found that neither problem is in RapidComposer. I wrote an e-mail to ToonTrack with details and sent them a RapidComposer NFR version for testing. I hope we'll hear from them soon.

I ask you, if you have an idea how to reproduce a crash that would help a lot. A series of steps, or a typical situation. (I used the 64-bit EZDrummer plug-in, v2.1.1)
