Anyone do one of these ? They sound amazing! Actually I think the Yocto even sounds better than the Acidlab Miami..

The components are 319 Euros for the 909 and 249 Euros for the 808. It basically comes with every component in the kit, but the catch is that you need to do all the soldering and assembly yourself. It doesn't come with a enclosure afaik.

I had the Yocto 808 kit but I ended up selling it. It's a pretty big project and in the end, I'm not really looking for 808 sounds. I ended up getting a bunch or drum modules for my modular.

These are not complete kits! They include the PCB, ICs and some hard to find parts (rare transistors, button caps, etc.) but you need to order the BOM from mouser, which will add another ~$200 to the project. For example, here is the Mouser cart for the Yocto (and it appears that one of the parts is out of stock, so you'd need to find an alternative)

i built a Yocto, it's nice, in a metal case
i don't quite like the sequencer too much, but that can be fixed to some degree, needs time

it's all thru-hole, took me about one week (during the christmas->newyear holidays)
i don't think i can build such a thing by giving it just a few hours a day after work.. it would take ages and i'll probably make nasty mistakes

It doesn't matter how it sounds..
..as long as it has BASS and it's LOUD!
