I ran into some crashes the other day while trying to set up a customized controller map. I was using 2.0.7 in Nuendo 6.5. Trying out the newest version and will hopefully not have any issues. Thanks Martin.

In your crash test project, you are automating a slider linked to programme change, sending probably about several tens to possibly hundreds of programme change messages per second.graywolf2004 wrote:Update on FL Studio crash issue.
Still freezes FL studio on my "crash test project", but no crashes on my real project so far.
During 2-3 hours of playing there were no crashes.
Thanks again for the update, now I can use PG-8X for my live performances.
Keep in mind that in each programme change the plugin sends each parameter change separately to the host (not sure whether I can prevent that and bundle them, this is standard WDL behaviour).. Then the host will react on that, possibly by creating an undo point for every parameter change.
You can see that automating programme change can easily create an extreme load on the host.
In normal operation, if you change the programme once in a while, all those issues will not appear.
Cheers,
Martin

Please, let me know if the problems persist with the latest version, and if they do, please send me as many information as possible, i.e. which parameter, which MIDI message, whether you tried to learn more parameters at the same time, etc.
Thanks,
Martin
Thanks,
Martin

Thank you martin_l for all this fabulous work on this synth.
Love you work - use it on a lot of records
However ... I do not want to be brash but can we expect an updated version of the standalone version of the chorus used in the PG8X? I love this chorus as much as the synth so any hopes?

So, apart from sorting some persisting niggling issues, and marking a final release version - and I guess, updating the website to remove all the older versions stuff and promote the current version - apart from those things, what's next on the list/plan to look at? The Mac AU version? Something else..? Have a holiday..?

It is strange, if you search for "PG8X" inside KVR you get 0 results... ?

Yes, the official name is "pg-8x". I was sloppy when starting this thread many years ago.
Anyway, the KVR will so far only link to the old SynthEdit version.
If I don't get any further bug reports this week. I will update my web page, the KVR entry, etc and make the new version the official version of the plugin.
Cheers,
Martin

I am still trying to figure out how to fix it, while keeping the functionality as in the VST. Haven't managed yet, though. But I also have to say that it was not a priority for me. Now that the VST seems to be stable, I will spend some more time on the AU.Opax wrote:Hi Martin,

After downloading the latest 2.0 version as a "Mac VST" I asked myself what to do with this .dll file on my Mac?

It should be fairly easy to port this to an AU version with Symbiosis.
It's just a drag and drop and two clicks.
