Lethal is a ROMPLER. Not a synth. M1 was a rompler tho, dont know about SQ80.nineofkings wrote:Why? Are the M1, SQ80 etc. not hardware synths?Elektronisch wrote:I cant believe anyone would believe thiscoded upon rom-based technology similar to how some hardware synthesizers work.
Also logical mistake here is "how some hardware synthesizers work". What kind of hardware synthesizers, moog, nord lead, arp? those are synthesizers. Ofcourse you can argue if you go deeper Its just plain lazy to put some fancy words to give some misconceptio.
But that is what called "white lie" i would consider.

Wait, what?coded upon rom-based technology similar to how some hardware synthesizers work.
Once I stop laughthing, as an electronic engineer I need to hang him on a dry branch.

All guitar presets struggle to register anything my DAW CPU gauge. I'm running v1.0.2.yobare wrote:easy to install. no dongle. some nice sounds. But why is guitar using 50% cpu?
*edit* I just checked emails received from LA support and there was mention of a CPU issue for some users being addressed.

Do they also sound the same useless as in that video demo on the page 11?db3 wrote:All guitar presets struggle to register anything my DAW CPU gauge. I'm running v1.0.2.yobare wrote:easy to install. no dongle. some nice sounds. But why is guitar using 50% cpu?

You're welcome! It seems that this one was a winner for me in terms of risk-taking. Fortunately I bought it at a lower price due to some wrong shop configuration from lethal. So this time the early adopter has been rewarded for taking the risk.pzhuravel wrote:Tedannemann Thank you! Just bought it, it did turn out 199 usd but.. I Freaking LOVE this thing! I was on a hunt for bread and butter pads and plucks for way long, this thing is perfect, and to say more he is exactly right EVERY sound in this thing is great, no fillers just down right usable, No bells No whistles and No BS either, If you need great EDM samples this is it, and really cool how they don't mask the sounds under a cloud of effects.. all supper dry and great. I do not own Nexus, I own just about everything else tho, including virus ti and Roland jdxa, and I'm seeing myself using this very often!tedannemann wrote:It's called risk-taking.fallacy wrote:Its very interesting that people would throw $149 at something before being able to try it first...![]()
Thanks again... largely bought because of your comments

P.S. The way these sounds are treated it sounds like they will easily fit in the mix remember good al RP Albino?

Nope, M1 is a digital synth and workstation, you got that wrongElektronisch wrote:Lethal is a ROMPLER. Not a synth. M1 was a rompler tho

So I guess you used as much time researching the M1 as you spent with Shortnoise

Well, if you read it like that then the D-50 is just a rompler toomhog wrote:As far as I know, when you read "PCM rom" it means "rompler". So, for me the Vintagesynth page says M1 is a rompler, not a synth...
What do you make of this statement at the VSE webpage, if it uses synthesized waveforms how can it be "just" a rompler?
"The M1 features built-in AI Synthesis for full digital generation and processing using 4MB of PCM sampled and synthesized waveforms"

If you need further proof, here is an indepth review of M1 by Sound on Sound, they don't use the word "rompler" at all to describe it, but a "Sample + Synthesis workstation"

Good that the webpage now is updated so it is more clear what users get:Mystic wrote:3000 presets? It's a dodgy way of promoting it but it's not incorrect to a point.
"Over 1200 instruments & presets. 2140 percussion & drum samples."
