I mean only a single master out effect that can get the signal after it is mix. It can add in settings audio page to see the Level of output too. have send effects too is of course better, but is much more work i think. or maybe it is more easy that only 2 sends are support the strength is control with the CC91 which is used in general midi as reverb depth CC94 chorus depth. and 2 more VST slots can add in settings audio page. and so it is easy to automate toonexussynth wrote:oh yes! i have been meaning to suggest this for some time. i see having a vst effect send for each instrument part for adding say, different amounts of a hall reverb to orchestral instruments.magicmusic wrote:Hi Attila I like a global master VST effect slot, so can use speaker correction EQ plugins, also add a limiter or VST rack to have global room, Limiter etc master effects. send effects i do not need
just a single vst effect would suffice.

This is not too difficult to implement. VST plug-in handling, opening editor, rendering audio is already done and working well.nexussynth wrote:oh yes! i have been meaning to suggest this for some time. i see having a vst effect send for each instrument part for adding say, different amounts of a hall reverb to orchestral instruments.magicmusic wrote:Hi Attila I like a global master VST effect slot, so can use speaker correction EQ plugins, also add a limiter or VST rack to have global room, Limiter etc master effects. send effects i do not need

You can see this on the list of features in the updated development road map.
The more people request a feature, the higher priority it becomes
Thanks,
Attila

Hi Attila
have you try out ?. I get it not working. I test ctrl+shift+v before, not work but i did not notice that this hotkey can work in phrase, so i think it is not implement. in phrase keys this hotkey is not list. I do steps. I select a phrase on previous track(press ctrl+c), click to activate track i want to copy. and then press ctrl+shift+v. but nothing happen. maybe i do something wrong ?
I can do a video

I see updatet raodmap now. good that play position pointer in editors stand on 1. place. i whish it too. what i miss in roadmap is the warning requester(you remember you tell you can do it) if a phrase is not save and choose another one. this i forget very often because other programs store always. i think users that try the demo do frustrating this too, when they loose their edits. also a hotkey for preview phrase with all unmutet tracks and can press a hotkey long, then it play in loop. to see what users like most, maybe you can create a poll here so user can vote what they like most

Very interesting Road Map !
But how to participate in the promotion of certain items to the upper level at the time of creation?
I would put a priority
-Allow chord entry from MIDI keyboard everywhere
-Scale and chord finder tool built in the scale and chord browsers
-Phrases may contains MIDI controllers and pitch bending (editable in the phrase editor)
-Chord palette rewrite, circle of fifth and other options
-MIDI learn - use MIDI controllers for various sliders and operations
But actually all the fun!

Is it possible to realize polytonality in RapidComposer?
This would require multiple master tracks. It would be relatively easy to do, if multiple VST instances of RC could hold different master tracks. However, currently this does not seem to be possible. If I open RC in multiple VST instances, every instance has the same master track. My suggestion would be a checkbox in the settings, such as "Use different Master Tracks in different VST instances".

Hi magicmusic,
Alternatively you may enable 'Global' for the Ctrl+Shift+V shortcut, but this may not be a good idea.
The same keyboard shortcut can behave differently (like copy/paste) depending which area is in focus. By making a shortcut 'global', it will work everywhere, regardless which area is in focus.
Thanks,
Attila
When you clicked on a track to activate, you changed the keyboard focus. Pressing Ctrl-V when the tracks are the focus means "Paste Track". So you need to click inside a track to select the composition as the keyboard focus, and Ctrl+Shift+V will work.magicmusic wrote:I select a phrase on previous track(press ctrl+c), click to activate track i want to copy. and then press ctrl+shift+v. but nothing happen. maybe i do something wrong ?

Hi lulukom,
this thread is a perfect place to suggest a feature and make it higher priority. As you know I am flexible
Multiple master tracks are on the list.
Thanks,
Attila

Hi Attila
-
thanks, this work ok now. I only see no marker now which track is focus for this function, so i thought i must click on left side that track is blue, and this do track focusSo you need to click inside a track to select the composition as the keyboard focus, and Ctrl+Shift+V will work.

I wish too a option so i can play realtime for test sounds or change them. when RC is stop, and a track is activate, then currently nothing happen when play on my midi keyboard. maybe it is easy possible to play the sound live which track is select and if master track is select, chords can play realtime. or if it is possible when RC is stop so i can play realtime, when i am edit VST. if it is not much work of course to programlulukom Allow chord entry from MIDI keyboard always and everywhere !!!

I finally took the time to play around with the "new" rests function, very cool! However, if I understand correctly, this can only produce pre-defined silent intervals in the generated phrases.
Would it be possible to take a more "musical" and less predictable approach to rests? One way I thought of was to be able to specify a percentage of the notes to be turned into rests. Another way would be to allow for randomization of the current slider system.
My own approach before I got around to the rests function has been to generate phrases, and then trim the notes relentlessly until I'm left with a catchy and minimal result. I'm coincidentally going to meet a renowned contemporary classical composer later this month, and I'm planning to ask him how he views rests "philosophically speaking", and if he comes up with some interesting answers I'll report back here.

Yes, I am interested in any input on rests. I wonder how it could be improved. I am not an expert in this area (and may other areas...)
Thanks,
Attila
