Please give us some rough information.
That is to say, you needn't categorise (e.g. "fusion between neo-acid-house-influence and bebop") but is it rather modern or classical?
I'm asking because i don't have broadband and i would like to know whether to check it out or not

@ Steve: sorry for that error message - I just checked the page but no error at all. Is it one of the mp3s that don't work or the entire page?
@ timewastin: The stuff *is* a classical symphony (for large orchestra) and it ist "moderately modern", i.e. more Bruckner or Mahler than Schoenberg or Stockhausen. Some friends reported to me that they've imagined some kind of exciting film sequences when listening to it (it's no "easy listening" classics).

The symphony consists of four parts (fast-slow-fast-fast), only classical orchestra (no synth sounds), rendered with Cubase and Garritan PO, there is no "program" behind, just the music, now and then there are sone (very little indeed) slight dissonances, according to download statistics, most listeners preferred part no. 4
and I wrote it from VI/2001 to XII/2002...
Sorry for my bad english, I'm out of practise...

Listening to the first one now...
Sounds very good. That orchestra sounds very nice. And great orchestration.. I love the deep drums/gongs at the end of the first piece.. is that from Garriton too?... hmm... I might have to purchase it...

I'm listening to the first movement now. Very good. 
Maybe you should also post the link at the GPO forumwhere Gary himself may even give you some comments.
First class composition and orchestration. The only comment I may add is that a bit more variation in the tempo may add to the tention.
How long did it take you to compose such a complete symphony and render it in GPO?

I'm listening to No4 now.
Ignore this if you want to but: If I may comment on just one thing. Take the 32bit versions down. It rather spoil the great work. I know that many friends will tell you that they have only modem downloads and do not want to download 10MB songs, but lisening to the low bitrate version, my first impression was, wel.. not so good as it distroy dynamics, effects and feel. Listening to the high bit version now give a completely different impression (i.e. very good).

thanks a lot for your comments! Composition itself took 18 Months - but this includeded lots of time & hassle for preparing my softsampler: I used the Siedlaczek Audio CDs, cut & looped several hundreds of wave files, put them into a sampler, etc, etc. However, serveral months of composing remain, since I have to earn my money with something completely different
When I finally bought GPO, it took me another couple of weeks to adapt the score to this library (GPO has some rather unusual way of controlling velocity) and to rearrange everything.
The 32 bit versions: I know the problem (and I actually hate the sound of it), but since I use an analog modem myself, I can understand the low-bandwidth-folk too good...

I'm on dial-up, but I eagerly awaited the download - all 4 movements.
VERY refreshing to hear something with a unique vision and voice - truly superb.
I detected the influence of (to name drop only the famous ones) Bruckner-Mahler and also Janacek and at the beginning of Mov 3, maybe a little Poulenc, but maybe also a little too much 20th Century influence. I would liked to have heard a little more recurrence of the themes (like Mahler) and a little more build up (like Bruckner).
But these are minor quibbles. The symphony is really terrific and I hope you continue with this non-mainstream interest.
I have not only downloaded but enthusiastically listened SEVERAL times to each movement - that is the highest praise I can give any work. They are definitely remaining on my hard drive.
The GPO performance was adequate. The use of the brass overlays was terrific, the woodwinds, especially bassoon, was good. The string performance was also good, but I am not overly fond of the GPO string sound. Yes, please post your notice at the northernsounds.com GPO forum - everyone there will definitely want to hear this.
If you would ever consider sharing your midi file, please PM me.
