When someone gets the chance to update, could you let us all know if there are any differences besides the UI? They mention sound improvements, but I'm imagining they wouldn't be noticeable (they sounds brilliant already). Any new presets?

PS besides, the site looks pretty simple; I don't see any compromising, sophisticated graphic content there as it comes to fast access of the site itself; I stand corrected :ud:
KVR loads in about 5-10 secs by comparison.

Erm, should someone be so friendly to post the prizes of the B-3 and the Farfisa?
This is highly frustrating!

Site loads fine here, so it must be where you are.

Nonsense! I have a slow connection. That is no excuse for any site to load so slow though. Never seen anything like it.

very interested in the modeled piano, hope it is as good as pianoteq, sounds good in the demos but as a new product I wonder how it compares.

Price is steep for an Arturia product but good vs Pianoteq. But given their constant sales I am sure I will be able to pick for 50 USD with in a year.

199 euros each, seems to be the standard price for all their more recent plugins, including the Matrix 12.

The older ones cost 149 euros now.

Thanks fluffy!

Pretty expensive I must say.

PS: I am on Android. Of course the site will load faster from behind my PC. No worries :)

Just compared the old and new GUI of the Jupiter (they actually renamed it to Jup-8, odd). While it is resizable now, the fonts they used for labels are harder to read than before :dog: And they changed the colors of the typical Jupiter 8 buttons, even the way they look. Now the little lights are outside of the buttons :ud:

I agree about the GUI. I have to say, I prefer the old one.

About the name: I guess whether it has anything to do with Roland having released the Boutique's? Does Roland plan to bring the Jupiter 8 out as plugout? That could explain that Arturia no longer has the license to call it "Jupiter".

Already in the last update, they removed the "Moog" from their Mini V and Modular V products.

Besides that, I wonder whether they managed to fix the bugs, which still plagued the Collection 4 instruments.
Guess without upgrading now, we will have no chance of getting them fixed...

Cheers,
Martin

^ I think the new Jup 8 look is step backwards, like they didn't finish the gui before the product had to be shipped.

Darn. Purchasing VSTis has become a struggle.
Most devs make a complete absently impression on me. Accuracy not seems to be their job somehow.

I had the same thought - Roland want back the name "JP-8" to not clash with future products..?

I agree. It doesn't look great, a little "cheap" and although obviously it's great it's bigger (and the extra display section is *way* nicer) it doesn't look as JP8-like as the older version.

Post

Hmm.. the fact Arturia is no longer allowed to wear the Jupiter name could point at the supposition that Roland is not so happy with Arturia.
I don't think it has to do with future use of the name itself; obviously Roland doesn't have to worry about the Jupiter tag.
And besides, why should they ask such a high prize for an upgrade of such an old product?
Suspicion rises

Not so great light-work on the little lights above the coloured buttons on the Jupe ;)
