Looking for iOS DAW that allows integration of other synth apps

Hey there
I am looking for a DAW that would allow me to integrate other apps when creating the music. I have Garage Band right now and it trying to integrate other apps but I could not get anything meaningful out of it. I am looking for something with VST functionality. I use iMaschine, Lunchkey and Lunchpad. I don't know if these apps are not made to be integrated but what apps would work similar to VST on a desktop? Thank you.

The closest right now is Cubasis. The Equivalent of "vst" plugins right now would be "AU" plugins. However this was only released on iOS last year and there are very few AU synths. (Viking, iSem) are two that I currently use but there are more on the way.
There are many more synths that support something older call IAA (inter-app audio) that functions similar to how rewire used to work on the desktop. Cubasis also can work with these synths but its a little cumbersome and such synths can only have one instance at a time.
Ask your favorite Synth vendors to support AU on iOS (I've been doing so) there are some good ones on the way.

Thank you for your reply. The Cubasis price is $50 and it sounds as it is useless if we can not integrate other synths. Can I use Maschine 2 with it? Thank you.

VST style integration is still in the early stages. However Cubasis is not useless in that there are other creative ways to integrate with most 3rd party synths. Just not at the level of plugin integration you may be accustomed to you on the desktop.
I'd anticipate that we are about a year a away from the being the norm.

Upgraded Maschine 1 to Maschine 2 yesterday. Weird thing is that we have 2 iPads and the app is available on both iPads, but the expansion libraries package that I bought as "in app perches" are only available on one iPad. Does it means that I have to buy the same expansions for any synths twice even if iPads share the same apps?
I would like to be "inside the box" in a sense that I will not be using any midi controllers. I like to be able to make music with no buying sound card, input/output gear or midi controllers, because at work I can not set it up on my desk. I can secretly play with it when nobody sees. My son is 11 years old and he wants to learn how to produce Dubstep. They have "choice time" group of kids interested in apps. So I wanted to help him make iPad studio, but it looks like without external microphones and IO devices we will not be able to accomplish a lot. I was hoping that Cubasis would be able to integrate with iMaschine, Touchkey and Touchpad and other synths and we will be able to record simple beats and arrangements. I keep seeing nice looking promising apps but what is the point if you can not record them anywhere?

Though it's more limited (especially for Dubstep), Korg Gadget is a great all-in-one iOS solution for the money. Unless you need to record audio you can work start to finish in the app; there's enough content to keep any budding producer engaged, and it "feels" a bit more like DAW in that you can are not swapping in/out of your workspace for your instrument, going crazy with syncing Audiobus / IAA.
You can't integrate other synths yet, but there's enough good stuff there (with a few extras like the iM1). Your Maschine purchases would be wasted for now, but again - you may not miss it, at least for a while (and the included sample player, Bilbao, and loop slicer Abu Dhabi can both import samples.
I'm of the type that would prefer using my own iOS synths, but I often come back to Gadget because it just works.

Check out the Miami gadget for dubstep.
Also - my mistake - the sample player and loop slicer are in-app purchases; they are $9.99 each.

Auria Pro - hosts synths as well as IAA plugins, and has it's own internal synth integration.
AUM - mixer host, that handles AU, AB, IAA, and when used with Audioshare, is a great live session DAW as well.
Cubasis - IAA host, also handles AB input
Multitrack DAW - handles IAA and AB input
Audiobus and MiMix - workhorse IAA hosts that can be used as front-end sub-mixer in to other DAWs.

Seems that family sharing doesn't extend to IAPs
So if you have several idevices on one Apple ID you can restore the IAPs on all of them. BUT if one is on your Apple ID and the other is on your wife's (child partner etc) Apple ID then that one can load family share apps but not the associated IAPs.

For obvious reasons.
If the account didn't buy the IAPs, then sharing the IAPs would be a workaround and potential breach of security.

I have 2 iPads on one Apple ID/account. I upgraded iMaschine 1 to iMaschine 2 (not upgraded but paid for iMaschine 2) and I can use it on both iPads. But the libraries only visible on one iPad. Theoretically both iPads are my- I let my child to use one, but they both my. I oersonally did not seed iMaschine 2 and expansions as I have all of them on the desktop and paid between $25 and $50 for each of them. But I thought- ok- I will pay for expansion bundle on iPad once. But it looks like I have to pay again as I bought it on iPad I use, and my child can not access the expansions. If anybody knows how to access the in app purchase, please, let me know.So if you have several idevices on one Apple ID you can restore the IAPs on all of them.
Thank you, and thank you for all the replies. I may just buy Cubasis...

Are you using iTunes to back up your devices?
If you sync the iPad's through iTunes, then the whole config. Should be essentially cloned.
Have you tried restoring purchases?
ive fine this in multiple devices for many apps.

Our iPads not identical- I do not install all the games my child has. Also I don't think Cloud storage let me back up both iPads- it can not even fit one. But if I was to back it up to desktop with iTunes, how would I get to "in app purchases" expansions for Maschine?
Where is "restore purchase" can be found? Thank you.

Restore purchase is usually found in the app itself.
As long as the devices share the same account, then the IAP's should show up.
I don't think IAPs will work if you are using family sharing.
If the devices use the same Apple ID then it should work.

I can not find "restore purchases" in iMaschine 2. The libraries expansion package is showing available to buy. I thought if I sign in, it would just let me install it but it asks for payment.
It says iMaschine supports Ableton link. Do you know by any chance if Cubasis supports it?
