miro,on the other hand will not be submitting now but was going to on account of the fact the date was set according to his time in the uk but due to understandable family issues couldnt make it.
its like saying people who dont contribute to the cd shouldnt attend

what i don't get is people posting their tunes before release - it happened at vurtstock as well.
i just think it detracts from the exclusivity of the cd...

perhaps you should allow people to post their tracks, as long as everyone else promises not to download them or listen to them before the event.
it's probably that people are excited by the event and really pleased with their submission (it happened to me once)

well, imo, like vurtstock, the tracks were written by attendees for an exclusive cd only available to attendees and cd participants.
or have i been wrong about that all this time?
i'm sure i could find links to several references to this...
but at no time did i, or anyone else, suggest that if someone didn't submit a track they couldn't attend, so i still fail to see the connection.
no matter - i'm sure it makes perfect sense to you though.
