New Arturia Plugins

Sounds similar to an issue I had with Arturia plugins when using ASIO with 88200 & 96000 Hz Sampling Rates on my Komplete Audio 6. I'd mention it in Arturia's general VCollection 5 forum with the specifics about your sound card.paulbreeze wrote:All of them behave more or less the same (maybe an underlying engine issue). If I switch to Windows Audio output they work more stable. When they work, they work well. No CPU issues, whatsoever. Then if I change ie. the preset or some GUI parameters or ASIO parameters (if I try to use ASIO) the window freezes, Windows displays "not responding" in the title (but I'm able to kill the program via task manager). Eventually it also get's back to normal after some time (also happened while testing). So I'm not so sure this is only a low-end CPU issue...

Was just thinking that speed is not the only problem with older processors. I remember demoing some software and there were problems. And it turned out my processor did not support all the instruction sets that were required by the software.

Runtimes are important too.
The plugins seem to be using MSVC 12, so its a good idea to have that up to date.
(Its generally a good idea to have them all installed, (i.e. not only 12), because you never know when a plugin or some other app needs one.)
Windows only, of course.

The B3-V crashed on me a bunch of times in a row. I did a restart and it was ok again afterwards. On Windows 8.1 x64.

Can you tell whether or not the mud (I'd actually call it distortion) is built in or is added by the effects they chose to use in the demo video?Echoes in the Attic wrote:... The EP-73 though has the typical muffled arturia sound I think, like the Wurly. Just too muddy compared to sampled EPs.

Just a little followup. I bought a "new" CPU (for $39) Phenom II X4 955 and now all Arturia plugins work great...

It just seems to be the way the sound is modelled, nothing to do with the fx. It's lifeless and lacking substance. The organs are better, especially the Vox and Farfisa, and they share pretty much the same fx.rrichard63 wrote:Can you tell whether or not the mud (I'd actually call it distortion) is built in or is added by the effects they chose to use in the demo video?Echoes in the Attic wrote:...
