A little cross promotion yet again:

The current MC22 does not only mark a 2-year existence of the Mix Challenge (bjporter, we're just called Mix Challenge now, we dropped the KVR part a couple of months ago), but we also have yet another well known OSC face as "virtual client": Bjulin. If you want to have the chance to take a closer look at one of his productions, and maybe try your luck with mixing - you're more than invited to join.

Speaking of which... throughout the last 2 years - regular, participants and fans of the OSC helped us out so much, that I can't even put it into words. Without the OSC, the MC wouldn't even exist anymore (as you probably know, we're constantly struggling to get new material to mix). So thank you so, so much for that.

Anyway - enough OT from my side. Once more a huge thank you... and see you folks on either side of the webboard! :tu:

I still think Firebird is good for an OSC. it is better than Synth 1 in my opinion from what I've used of it
It's very tasty, I swear!

Full Bucket's Kern or Blooo maybe?

Firebird, windows only :-/
Personally I don't mind that.

I'd still like to see Helm in an OSC

That would be great. Though I haven't seen many positive mentions about it. Is the CPU usage still high? We still have a few cross platform goodies to try out if that's not an option.

Helm CPU was okay, I thought...

Just confirmed that the CPU usage has gotten a lot better.

Playing with it, seems there's a serious bug (I think I noticed this before) in the way the envelope is applied to the formant filter, maybe other places - there's a delay until it kicks in and it jumps back to 100% before the decay time or something similar... :(

I also have a breaking bug. When I load a project, my audio interface dies (no sound, have to restart daw, and restart the audio interface). That's not good :(

It's doing this visually for all the envelopes all over, audibly in only certain places. Very strange. Doesn't instill a lot of confidence it's ready for OSC yet.

... OSC Special: mouth only!
Your whole skull structure is like a synthesizer. Like an organic synthesizer. You have vocal chords that create vibration. It travels up through the rest of your face, hits the roof of your mouth and bounces off. Depending on how you open your mouth those are just changing and shifting your frequencies.
