I loved the singing. It's only the lack of confidence that made me use the word "falter"... the actual technique is fine, but there are moments when the listener (OK, maybe just me!) is aware that you're hesitant. To me, though, much of this style is what gives the song a sense of vulnerability--mckenic wrote:" When the voice falters, it's noticeable because it's too up-front"
I gotta take full responsibility for this, sorry Perhaps if the song is thrown open for mixes I should try do a propper vocal (Im not too confident about my singing buy many, many thanks for the kind remarks) - what do you guys think?
I still think that strictly objectively speaking, and not that your voice should be 'hidden' at ALL (it SHOULD be the centrepiece!!!) that the vocals are a bit up. The level is a bit much for even the best of singers-- but that's just my perspective.
I'd be a happy guy if I had vocal quality like yours. Confidence will come, but timbre and character are elusive.
