All kinds of spaces are possible with this. It is my creative and detail verb, but it can be processor hungry depending on oversample and diffusion network settings. if that wasn't enough,.. each engine has it's OWN dynamics processor and saturation module. that dynamics module can be routed several different useful ways depending on application. if you didn't need all the bells and whistles of B2 then 2CAether is another good choice.... both algorithmic but top quality. You can get some FANTASTIC timbres out of B2 that sit inside the space you create and some highly customisable modulation of the diffusion. You do that with creative highly versatile damping on both engines and a combination of internal signal equalisation. Both engines allow for Infinite Time and they sound beautiful and clean...depending on your settings. Warning, it has a bit of a learning curve.. You should know how a basic reverb is working and what all the usual parameters can do to alter the output...however it has an Excellent thorough manual as well.

This is B2 used extensively on a dark ambient tune:

Nice....yeah...i checked out the latest things but still nothing can sound like B2 in reverb land.
Together with Aether by far the best reverbs i heard and used.
Nothing comes even close yet for me!

Big +1 to that... B2 is not only an absolute monster at ambient, but literally any sound you throw at it! Its extremely versatile for both bread and butter and creative applications. Pretty much my "go to" reverb for almost everything.

Aether on the other hand is great as well with its special early reflection engine which really brings out a realistic character to the space you have in mind. You can do a crazy amount of tweaking to the nuances of the sound to get it just right in the mix.

If I had to pick one I would go with B2 though ... worth every penny :)

What about Valhalla reverbs? Especially since all (Plate, Ubermod, VVV, Room, and Shimmer) of their plug-ins would cost the same as one of the two plug-ins you listed, and Valhalla comes highly recommended.

Is B2 ever on sale? Love the sound but don't like the $250 price.

Yes. We typically have a Christmas/holiday/winter sale. It will start in a couple days max. It's been delayed by few days this year as we have been trying to get something else done to be included in It but it might need more time/testing.

I suppose I could at least quietly turn on the holiday pricing as early as today. Ok. I will do that. Give us a couple hours.
