Synthmaster keeps asking for license key after update

I'm going to preface this with the fact that I've had Synthmaster for a few years now.

I updated to the newest version a week or so ago, and after, my DAW would throw an alert saying my license key was wrong. This has never happened before. KV331 resent the license #, but it of course was identical and I get the same error.

I sent a message over to the KV331 people , and holy crap do they not care. At all. I've gotten two responses back since, and the second one was "download the newest version". Uh, hello???

Anyone else run into this problem, and any solutions anyone might have?

Never mind, I figured it out.

Updating should not have to be such a pain in the butt.

Care to tell us what you figured out?

I get this same "license file incorrect" error message everytime I try and update synthmaster. Have contacted support numerous times and have yet to get a solution.

Yes, please tell us what you did to solve it vanheinous. There's many of us with the same issue and it covers many different DAWs too. I can't even get back to 2.7 anymore either, so the synth is now totally useless to me and the solution given to me didn't work at all so I have no idea of what to do. Obviously something in their codewriting is totally deficient regarding the upload.

Same problem here, updated to 2.8 and I keep getting a license error.

Edit: Working again.
I uninstalled and installed again and I put the new license file sent by email in the my documents/synthmaster folder. I re-scanned my entire vst folder again with Ableton and its working again.

I got a email reply from Bulent who said that with major updates to Synthmaster, it requires a new license file. So just request a new license file to be sent to your email and update that and it should fix the problem. I updated my license file and all is working for me now.
