little hint on custom wavetables:
you most probably will not be able to work your own.
one wave in a table consists of 33 wavecycles with 2048 samples length each (from raw to anti-aliased) .
will we release a wavetable editor? most probably no.
if you find yourself cabable of writing an editor, we will support you.
I would recommend to load your own wavetables directly into the transformer osc.
might work or not. but since it is trained to find patterns that it can use as wavetables,
it might work.

Rico, how exactly are your wavetables created? If you can give us step by step details, we can create our own. I've been lucky with a few waves I have but don't remember how they were created.Sugar Bytes wrote:little hint on custom wavetables:

A little info on the process would be greatly appreciated, including whatever software you used to create these tables.

Seems to me like if you would create a wavetable in Serum with exactly 33 tables, you'd get the desired output. That is to say, one that Factory can read.Sugar Bytes wrote:little hint on custom wavetables:

when i saw the transformer i thought you could really stop the frame and create like granular synth a static sound and shift granularly
would be tight ;D

Tried it. Doesn't work. Even tried reimporting back the WT file using FFT synthesis to get it to 2048 cycles and exported back out. Still no luck.BDeep wrote:Seems to me like if you would create a wavetable in Serum with exactly 33 tables, you'd get the desired output. Would be really nice if they would just tell us how to make our own wavetables, unless they don't want us to. Which, IMO, is pretty crappy.

Yeah, well I tried it. Guess what Sherlock? It doesn't work.foosnark wrote:Sugar Bytes wrote:one wave in a table consists of 33 wavecycles with 2048 samples length each (from raw to anti-aliased)wagtunes wrote:Would be really nice if they would just tell us how to make our own wavetables, unless they don't want us to. well, on my Factory copy the robots have missed painting some of the dots red,...fuchsia rather. is this a limitation in the 30-day demo. i'm positively not buying this if i can't watch them assemble fuschia dots...i like to negatively affect the Cutoff Filter,... like Tom. did .thank you for prompt response. the rest of the synth is damned -near- perfect, HOWEVER...see above.
Edit: in the well-made Manual it says i can use samples of me singing in the shower for the transformer, but i wonder if the demo version will still load the file if i record myself shouting trumpisms into a half-empty well of water? thanks for any hel

i can confirm this with my copy. sb must be attempting to make estatement here. there are no Humans working in the factory in Factory settings either. can anyone confirm that someone at SBytes HQ is in fact human? i begin to doubt it. just listen to this thingjk-cream2 wrote:Am I missing something, or are there almost no numbers on knobs? ...but is there a way i can get drive on the sub and no drive on my OSc (at all). i don't want pre- or post- filter drive on the OSc 1 or 2 signal leaving the filter, only on the sub...possible? i no see if possible. because, the way i see it, if you add Drive to one element it adds drive to all elements in some fashion...the only option you have is to route the OSC's pre- or post- filter. would like to have an option to bypass the drive altogether on one Osc if possible. perhaps im just missing something (even after reading the Man).

You're not missing anything. Both OSC's go through the filter and the drive. No way to separate them.snigelx wrote:...but is there a way i can get drive on the sub and no drive on my OSc (at all). i don't want pre- or post- filter drive on the OSc 1 or 2 signal leaving the filter, only on the sub...possible? i no see if possible. because, the way i see it, if you add Drive to one element it adds drive to all elements in some fashion...the only option you have is to route the OSC's pre- or post- filter. would like to have an option to bypass the drive altogether on one Osc if possible. perhaps im just missing something (even after reading the Man).
