bliss takes a long time to load. i'd like to try to convert the wavs to mono in order to decrease load time. can i do this after the fact or must this be done to the original wave before chopping? where are the chopped wavs located, so i can batch edit them?
second, the more instances of Bliss i have in a project, the longer the project takes to respond to "play" messages in REAPER. is there any way around this?
thanks
Nym

It shouldn't take that long, how many MB of samples are you loading?nym wrote:bliss takes a long time to load. i'd like to try to convert the wavs to mono in order to decrease load time. can i do this after the fact or must this be done to the original wave before chopping? where are the chopped wavs located, so i can batch edit them?
Please send your Reaper project to bliss@discodsp.com and we will investigate, thanks!second, the more instances of Bliss i have in a project, the longer the project takes to respond to "play" messages in REAPER. is there any way around this?

1.0.4 is out.
- Reset voices state when changing play mode.
- Fix glide rate not following morph changes.
- Fix glide mode button not responding to changes.
- Fix in some cases the background of the sample editor is not paint.
- Fix sample editor wave not always repainting correctly.
- Changed appearance of sample editor exit button icon.

You could try enabling "Don't flush synthesizers on stop" in Prefs->Plugins->VST.nym wrote:second, the more instances of Bliss i have in a project, the longer the project takes to respond to "play" messages in REAPER. is there any way around this?
That helped for me in a kind of similar situation (different plugin though).

Ahh, looks like there's an "Output" setting within the Master section now. Hmm ... That could indicate a number of things.
Btw, I really like this sampler! It works quite well within Bitwig, running on Linux. I think it's worth supporting.
One thing I'd really like to see developed is a 'round robin velocity zone' feature. This is especially useful for creating realistic drum kits!
Anyway, keep up the good work!

Has anyone been able to sample plugins under wine?
I have all my windows VST plugins running in Wine under Cantabile, Carla and/or VSTHost (Herman Seib). I want to sample my synths using Bliss in Wine to use the samples using Bliss in Linux (with Tracktion as DAW). I can sample my synths in my windows partition as a workaround (everything is just so slow under windows).
Everything works well until I select "Sampling->Sample Plugin...". When doing this Bliss crashes. The synth below samples well under windows.

Send us the crash log + any extra into to bliss@discodsp.com
Can't you try sampling using Windows instead as a temporary workaround?

None of the latest instruments downloaded from the Bliss Sampler Library are loading into Bliss (tried versions 1.0.2 and 1.0.4). Tried loading them on a MAC and PC and downloading them with different browsers but they still won't load. Also tried extracting and recompressing the zip files and changing the extension back to .zbp (and on a MAC using terminal to make them unix executables) but this did not work either. Any thoughts?George wrote:We will be uploading more instruments to Bliss Sample Library these days https://www.discodsp.net/bliss/

I tried messaging on your website, but the site stopped responding.
I'm on Cubase 6.5 32 bit PC. I opened a project from a few months ago and a message came up saying Bliss had expired. I logged in and downloaded 1.0.4, the project no longer sounds the same (it was heavily dependant on loop start/end automation/modulation, something seems to of changed in the implementation/recall of that) and the CPU load now spirals upwards over the course of about 2 minutes until it starts overloading/spluttering.
Is there any way I can get 1.0.3 back and running so I can complete the project?

Afaik 1.0.3 > 1.0.4 did not have any loop start/end and modulation changes. Can you please send the project with the Bliss track only to our e-mail bliss@discodsp.com so we can investigate? Thanks.
