I set an instrument as a Favorite and it shows up under Favorites, but if I close and re-open DAW, there are no Favorites listed.
How can I make the setting permanent?

Post

It should work just like that, does for me. Not sure what else you could do.

Post

Thanks, I just started to use the feature so I guess I won't miss it too much.

It's quite useful, you can completely reorganise all your plugins now, is everything else working (eg setting up new plugin categories, drag and drop reorganisation)?

Post

I haven't really done any reorg to speak of. I basically just use Flat or Vendor and scroll.
I should set Favorites if I can get it to stay since I do gravitate to many of the same ones, especially Kontakt.

Looks like 3.2.3 is out - see if that fixes it.

not fixed after update

That's the trouble with trying to troubleshoot computing. Everybody's computer has different configurations / things installed, which can affect an app's operation. Favorites works OK here too. I also made a tab of my own list of stuff by category for VIs and FX—very handy.

Did you try Safe-booting (or if on PC, whatever that equivalent would be), where you boot without your extensions, just to test...or throw out the prefs and let it build a new one maybe?

Might be a permissions related issue?

Post

It's not a big deal to me. I can work around it or eventually fix.

The permissions thing is a whole different story so probably better off not discussing much here as I've reported it elsewhere fairly extensively.
I've done almost as much as I can to resolve the Access Denied message I get when attempting to Terminate Studio One.exe including assigning permissions to multiple accounts with full privileges and ownership, etc.
S1 seems to not be giving me as many problems lately, so that makes the experience somewhat more tolerable. The Favorites thing is a nicety, but I won't miss it. I can create my own categories if I need to, hopefully.

thanks for suggestions! I really like the sw but have almost gotten to the point of chucking it due to on-going nuisances (show-stoppers).
