Thank you guys, I needed a few falconless weeks after an absolute overdose of Falcon programming, but I am now picking up all the projects again which are on my todo list for Falcon.

Understandable and good to hear. I will keep my fingers crossed that you will someday be inspired to make a santoor based library.

Yeah looks a bit boring and the macro assignments are also pretty basic, who made this?

But isn't one of the benefits of Falcon that users can explore the regular UVI libs under the hood?

Not sure I see the big need for expansions when users got a 100 dollar voucher to pick up some choice UVI libs from the get go.

Yeah but not interested in most of them as they are all sample libs and not made specifically for Falcon or using the wide variety of synthesis methods it has at its disposal.

Actually I almost ordered a santoor and a sitar last year after I bought a psaltery and made plenty of sounds with it for various sample-based instruments, but then other things took over - it would be a huge interesting project though, but let me finish polishing those hundreds of Hang samples first :help:

Looking forward to those, as well. Santoor and hang are two of my favorite instruments. I'm quite certain you could make magic with both.

This looks like nice santoor

That it does, but maybe a little short in depth/height. I'm used to seeing taller boxes, but that is not to say that the one you are looking at doesn't kick ass.

I'll have a look around, usually ordering directly from India is the way to go, but then one can't test them beforehand.

Great to hear. Ordering from India is certainly the way to go.

I bought one in India that I quite liked, but it disappeared when I tried to ship it stateside via boat. That was twenty years ago and I have been santoor-less since.

Woaa, that sucks!

You need to buy a Yaybahar: :) That's a thing I'd like in my living room :P

As for Falcon: Yes, looking forward to nonmainstream, nondance stuff as well. Falcon can do way more than glassy tinkly sounds and dance. Doesn't have to be completely experimental .... but with so many possibilities, I'm looking forward to something as simple as very alive pads etc .. with subtle changes to give this "I already heard this .. a 100 times .. but this actually sounds much better." and not necessarily knowing why :)

Ah, double ditto!! I'd almost rather Simon had one of these than me!

:phones: Great stuff, instant space music - my mum has a similar custom built thing in her house but it doesn't sound nearly as impressive, I shall google around some more then.
