The legal rights for Project 5 lied on "Twelve Tone Systems". This company was bought by Avid.
So the legal rights for Project 5 lies on Avid. As far as Avid still has this rights it will never allow Cakewalk to use Project 5 in any regard, even if the developer and the Code is at Cakewalk.
The only chance for bringing back Project 5 or parts of it would be if the legal rights would expire.
But as long as this is not the case Cakewalk has no legal rights on Project 5. So all this hype at Cakewalk is marketing to get some new blind customers. I assume that this company is nearly at breaking down, if they use such methods.

That's is just plain wrong information. Cakewalk own the rights to Project5. Cakewalk was formerly known as Twelve Tone Systems, and is now owned by Gibson. And btw Project5 is not going into SONAR, that I know of...not sure where this rumor started but not true.MorpherX wrote:jens wrote:There are no news in that regard.memyselfandus wrote:I can't believe they are putting project 5 features in Sonar. It started right here at KVR. Allow me to demonstrate.AROSSA [Cakewalk] wrote:...not sure where this rumor started...
That you know of? Oh, so you're saying that it's happening, just without your knowledge?! Or, maybe you're saying that Project5v3 will be released, but separate from Sonar? Hmmmm....AROSSA [Cakewalk] wrote:And btw Project5 is not going into SONAR, that I know of...

http://thinkenglish.me/definition/to-itself.html
to itself
to itˈself idiom
not shared with others
• It doesn't have the market to itself.
Monopoly is at the opposite end of the spectrum of market models from perfect competition. A monopoly firm has no rivals. It is the only firm in its industry. There are no close substitutes for the good or service a monopoly produces. Not only does a monopoly firm have the market to itself, but it also need not worry about other firms entering. In the case of monopoly, entry by potential rivals is prohibitively difficult.

I assume English is your native language. It isn't mine.
And yet you have NOTHING to counter my arguments, only silly insults and ad hominem attacks. Basically you are doing everything to avoid the actual subject of your post, because you wrote stupid nonsense and I caught you out on it.

Missing the point there sunshine. I picked you up on "yeah cos P5 is the only replacement for orion"
I didnt say that, or imply it. They are many replacements.
Nice try, but an epic fail, again.

And since it is apparent he is reading through this thread, it would also be nice to know if they're even trying to fix the installation bug? Or if blaming the OS is going to be the new standard of reducing support?mellotronaut wrote:... ad AROSSA:

You have to work a bit on your logic - it's broken.

I could say what you said: "nice try" - but it would be a lie, as all your attempts to sneak out of the stupid, silly nonsense you wrote, are poor at best.

some time after my post here in this thread, i got a pm from AROSSA. i gave hime my name and email address(es). he told me, he couldn't find any information about a cakewalk account. then i gave him the Sonar 8 serial and the Project 5 v.2 serial, i have here printed on the boxes right in front of me. he has read the pm, but he hasn't replied yet. i've sent another pm, which hasn't even been opened yet.BBFG# wrote:And since it is apparent he is reading through this thread, it would also be nice to know if they're even trying to fix the installation bug? btw.,i also have serials for Sonar 2, 6 and 7 (and probably a Sonar 5 serial, but i can't find it atm.) and a serial for Rapture (which is the only cakewalk software, i actually use, because i went from pc to mac several years ago. i once complained here on KvR, i couldn't sell my stuff. so i was happy, when i read, there would be a Sonar for mac soon. so i tried to log into my account, but there wasn't one anymore. not so funny. you buy licenses, can't sell them, account disappeared and a paradox and quirky service.
