Nothing about Windows 7. So who knows if it will even work.

Shame, because it does sound good.
You can download a 15 day trial and test it, Sherlock.

The "New" french horn on the site was "New" about 8 years ago. I emailed the dev multiple times back then asking for a time frame on the rest of the instruments being brought up to the french horn engine, and it was always about 6 months away. I stopped believing and sold it. Glad I did.

Too bad, there was potential. But if you want modeled brass/winds I'd say go for Sample Modeling. They also have the viola and I'm sure the rest of the strings will follow long before the Synful site is edited again.

Yes, it better sound that good for that kind of money.

You mean, you never heard of this way back in the day when it was hot?

I guess they didn't sell enough, maybe they should have had a more competitive price instead of something that insane?

I didn't get into PC recording until 2014. Until then, I had an all hardware studio. So all of this is new to me.

Not nearly as bad as the Neuron was going for :hihi:

This, the EMS Synthi (software emulation) and the Neuron (software), outrageous prices, I also seem to remember another software EQ a few years back, that was going for a crazy price.

I remember messing about with it, thinking wow the synthesis method is pretty interesting. I don't think it sounds as real as the developer would want you to believe though :hihi:

Interesting list of references used in RPM research paper here http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/login.js ... 2F04117931

I'd be more interested in a product that let you build your own sound databases. I might actually need to cough up the dough to read that article. .

Yes that's the main reason I had no interest in it, I guess it needed that due to how it worked but to me I want realtime physical modelling (not that this was fully physical modelling anyway).

that was "delay for expression" mode ...they could deal the issue with synchro- host latency to make it more easy to handle in a composing scheme

Post

live playing it sounds horrible
but
when playing back a midi track with the "delay for expression" button enabled is awesome.

thats what people don't get !
its not made for playing realtime
its meant as playback only plugin
