For some reason, the standalone and the gui editor just stopped working... Standalone worked earlier today, but now nothing happens when i double click. Spinny cursor, file explore becomes un-highlighted, but it doesnt open. Havent installed 2.8.4 yet and have tried running as admin.

Instead of synthmaster 3.0
How about calling it - Synthmaster Triumphant
Considering the way in which it always dominates the polls and the tri relates to the 3.
other "tri" etc.... related names to consider: trilogy trinity triton triad trio triplet triumvirate tertiary thrice triangular triune.
So what if some of them are taken already, this is more of a version name than an actual product rename.
It's kind of like when intel brings out a new chip.
Cakewalk even does this with their upgrade names for sonar.

I had a similar issue. Deleting the SM directory in my home dir solved the issue, so it looks like somehow there is a file that gets corrupted.zenophilix wrote:For some reason, the standalone and the gui editor just stopped working... Keep a zipped copy of your directory in case it happens again.

Try deleting the config file:
my documents\synthmaster\config\synthmasterconfig.txt
That'll reset the settings. It's probably due to the audio/midi interface you selected.

OK, just tried Player 2.8.4 and all seems finekv331 wrote:Hey guys, we finally released version 2.8.4!
The parameter arrows (next to 'Polyphony') no longer do anything (except light up). I know these settings can be changed using the context menu (don't know if this is new or I just noticed it) so it's not really a problem, just a bit confusing.
The Dry level knobs in the Layer FX send section don't move. Is this a limitation of the Player or is it a bug?

If you not already updated it to version 2.8.4, then do it. Otherwise, delete everything about Synthmaster and re install the full (new) version.zenophilix wrote:Deleted the config, gui editor still wont open.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Oh jeez, I didn't notice the update installers before... My DL speeds top out around 100kb/sec on a good day, and downloading hundreds of MB worth of files is difficult and very time consuming... Plus, as far as I know, 2.8.4 only adds bugfixes(unless I'm mistaken) - Edit: Saw the MIDI output thing after checking the log again. Think I know what that is.EnGee wrote:If you not already updated it to version 2.8.4, then do it. The update download is about 59 mb only. Even with 100kb/sec, it won't take so long really.zenophilix wrote:Oh jeez, I didn't notice the update installers before... Anyway, try to reinstall the whole software and see. You might have deleted something by mistake, so the reinstall will overwrite/write the necessary files.

Yeah, I know. I already downloaded it. I've already reinstalled it, but with the 2.8.3 installer. Should I use the full 2.8.4 installer?EnGee wrote:The update download is about 59 mb only. When I had the 2.8.3 version, I just clicked on the update and then overwrite it with the 2.8.4 and it works finezenophilix wrote:Yeah, I know. I already downloaded it. Sorry, I don't know how I can help you. You might have a problem somewhere else.zenophilix wrote: That's great, but my GUI editor stil seems to be broken...
Do you use 64bit version, the standalone? The 64bit with Bitwig and Reaper is mainly what I use. Have you tested it with Reaper? It is good to have Reaper for testing at least (the demo).
