If the sound is as good as the GUI, this will be amazing...if I can ever download it.

The whole "make people download every single plugin when they only need one, in the hope that they will demo other stuff and then buy" thing seems a bit poorly thought out. If anything, it is just going to engender ill will from customers. I own a heap of Softube plugins already and have demo'd the others, yet there is no option to download a single plugin (if there is, please show me - I will be forever grateful).

If that isn't bad enough, just like when they released the Drawmer multiband, my download gets a few hundred meg in before the connection dropping out...over and over. From memory I think I worked out that to demo Drawmer, I had used up 6-7 gig of bandwidth after ten or more times having to restart the download. I have only ever experienced this issue trying to download Softube plugs during the first couple of weeks.

Can anyone suggest a way to download the file so that it can just resume when it cuts out, rather than starting from scratch like Chrome does? I imagine there is a simple fix I don't know about.

That said...based on what I saw in the vids and on Soundcloud, I suspect I will be close to $300 poorer in the next few days. And with Vertigo VSM3 going on sale today...my budget will be blown!! GAS - pure and simple.

Since I already own Heartbeat, this was a no brainer for me. But since I already have a large real hardware eurorack system, I'm wary of sinking too much money into additional virtual modules. I guess it depends how frequently new modules are released... I'll likely buy the currently available ones, and then if new ones trickle out at a rate of a module a month or less, that seems reasonable. Time will tell.

I've downloaded the demo, but for some reason it doesn't work in Ableton Live (9.6.1). Live keeps crashing at startup.
If I remove the Softube folder (only containing Modular and Modular FX) fom my VST folder, Live runs perfectly, so there must be something wrong with Modular.

So far no issues in other hosts (Bitwig & Reaper).

I'm on Windows 10.

Same here mate, same set up as yourself, I have some other softube products that came with my Focusrite interface that do the same thing and I am waiting on an update to sort out the incompatability issue!

Run Live in Windows 8 compatibility mode.

I've had the same issue with some iLok protected plugins (including all of Softube plugs) using both Live and Studio One on Windows 10.

I've already got to run Live in 8 compatibility mode for it to see my XITE-1 as an ASIO device. Live seems to be doing something that Windows 10 hates.

(BTW, running Live in 8 comparability mode seems to be no problem)

MacBook Pro (2013) Mac OS X 10.11 Studio One 3 and Cubase Elements 8.
A single patch eats up 30%-70% of my CPU

No HiDPI/Retina resolution and the rack isn't resizable.

Sound wise I have to dig deeper.
