softube sent me the links, but the damn page keeps giving me a 404 error, I've tried numerous browsers, this is kind of maddening.. lol did they remove the damn installers? are they working for anyone else? Perhaps I'll hop on the mac to see if its working there.

The download link for the Softube Mac installer does not seem to be working. Is there an alternate working download link?

I was just going to ask about that demo... Good to know its fully featured!

I keep reading all these comments and then the GAS starts really kicking in. :help:

That really sucks about not being able to copy/paste for duplicate modules. A quick click-option+drag to duplicate would have been a real nice workflow.

thetechnobear wrote:hmm, enjoying the demo, and need to see if it can take me to new places?

starting to ask myself... is this a way for me to decide if eurorack is really where I want to go? or 'scratch that itch' ? or should I just save the cash, and use if for some starting modules :)

one small thing, no cut n paste/duplicate modules, this is going to make creating polyphonic patches, even more tortuous than it is in Reaktor Blocks.

btw: theres no real rush to get your license, as you can use the demo for 20 days, and seems fully featured, and all modules available etc (incl heartbeat/intellijel)

Patching with a touch screen is just perfect :tu:

Processor usage is better than I was expecting, demo patches use maximum 15% on my old i7

kiezum wrote:Oeps, I did it again. I bought Modular from JRR Shop. I haven't got my license yet.

While at Best Service Modular is much cheaper and they deliver much faster.

I need to remind myself: don't buy from JRRShop... even when they are the first to break the news of a new release. :?
Modular cost $63.75 at JRR while Best Service wants 66,- EUR.. ..Where is it much cheaper? It cost more!!!

Also i don't find that they deliver much faster (or faster at all) but that's another thing. :)
Yes, in fact it's a bit more expensive on that best service site. :?

All download links working without problems here.

demo : i went product -> softube modular -> demo (tab) , then step 2, has link for downloads. (was working not sure if it still is)

tip: go to each product modular, heartbeat and each intellijel module and do step 1 (ilok register) first, it took about 15 mins for the ilok registration for the first one (modular) and about 5 for each of the others. you only need to do step 2 once, since the installer has all products.

I tried (and failed so far) to link softube modular to reaktor blocks via audio cv... I'm wondering if this doesn't works as ableton blocks DC outputs/inputs between plugins? (the pitch calibration appeared to work, but gates so far didnt)
... its mainly for a laugh, but could allow for audio rate modulation between the two plugins. (also higher resolution than midi)

Without VAT it's much cheaper at Best Service (at JRRShop is also without VAT). The difference is about 3 euro (oh, well... not much cheaper, but it's still cheaper... the dollar is a bit expensive nowadays).
