I believe it comes with it when you buy it. This is always something that worries me because it means a lot of the presets you won't be able to use unless you buy other modules. That's not a good way to work IMO unless you're a third party sound designer and mentioning up front that you'll need other modules in order to use certain patches.kiezum wrote:To be honest... I like what I hear. Modular sounds good. Those add-ons are great. Does anyone know how I can use the heartbeat modules? I have Heartbeat, but they are greyed out in Modular.
This thing doesn't seem to come with too many presets as it is.
Edit: NM, looks like Heartbeat is a separate purchase

Thank you! The Heartbeat modules work. This plugin sounds great. I love Bazille, but this is something else! Great stuff. The interface and preset management needs some tweaking, but it sounds excellent.

I think it is a big lose to use preset when you have something powerfull like modular , the first I have done was to create a blank preset , we can create our sound , why use the sound of someone else ? (Unless if it is for a tutorial)

Sound design is not my forte. It kills my productivity to work on a single sound for a week because I'm a perfectionist and I'm not happy till it's perfect. I find I work a lot better by buying preset packs from professional sound designers who, frankly, can make much better sounding stuff than I could anyway. I'm interested in things like this for the end sound result rather than creating the path to achieve it.hivkorn wrote:I think it is a big lose to use preset when you have something powerfull like modular , the first I have done was to create a blank preset , we can create our sound , why use the sound of someone else ? It is difficult to be jack-of-all-trades
I mean, I don't design my own fonts when I use Word, but I can still write a pretty good letter

BTW: The sound is absolutely stunning!
I agree. This is so consequently orientated on a hardware Eurorack that it takes minutes just to get a simple sound (Midi to CV, Trigger, Gate and so on). So to all the sound designers on here, please keep the presets and sound banks coming!

Creating presets for this, given the structure, is going to be a logistical nightmare outside of using just the stock modules that come with the base package.tedannemann wrote:BTW: The sound is absolutely stunning!

You won't be able to make presets with any of the add-on modules because not everybody is going to have them. I can only imagine what would happen if you tried loading a preset that contained an add-on module and you didn't have that module in your rig.
This hinders what designers can do because it's not an all inclusive package.

Yeah, Ireland too. $63 or 57.96 euro (via PayPal rates) from everyplugin.com. They usually deliver instantly. JRR does several ours even half day due to time zone differences.Robmobius wrote:Nice one man... Will do.woodsdenis wrote:Rob get it from JRR or Audiodeluxe and save on the VAT. The difference is about 3 euro (oh, well... not much cheaper, but it's still cheaper... the dollar is a bit expensive nowadays).mladi wrote:
Modular cost $63.75 at JRR while Best Service wants 66,- EUR.. ..Where is it much cheaper? It cost more!!!
Also i don't find that they deliver much faster (or faster at all) but that's another thing.![]()

True, there are already a few presets without sound right from the start because I don't own the additional module. However I can activate the demo for these modules from within the plugin which is a good thing.wagtunes wrote:Creating presets for this, given the structure, is going to be a logistical nightmare outside of using just the stock modules that come with the base package.tedannemann wrote:BTW: The sound is absolutely stunning!

On the other hand I wouldn't overcomplicate things. Just make a usual sound bank with 128 presets, half standard modules, half with additional modules. The clever sound designer is doing a bank "right now" because I am pretty sure that nearly everyone is buying all the current available modules (just three additional modules for now) - but after a few months/years, yes this will be a chaos if there are too much different modules. But right now, I would assume that every Softube Modular fan affords the extra money for the three additional modules especially with all the discounts still going on.

There is something slightly perverse to me about getting an emulation of a eurorack modular and then immediately starting to worry about presets.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

It's all about the sound. This thing sounds amazing. But as mentioned in other posts before. Not every musician likes to re-invent the wheel every time he's composing/producing music.deastman wrote:There is something slightly perverse to me about getting an emulation of a eurorack modular and then immediately starting to worry about presets.

that's the pretty cool thing about having a virtual eurorack modular - preset recall without filling out sheets of paper or taking pictures to get that special sound back. on the other hand, I know what you meandeastman wrote:There is something slightly perverse to me about getting an emulation of a eurorack modular and then immediately starting to worry about presets.
