Wendy Carlos is Wendy Carlos. If she wanted to be "Wendy (Walter)" she would have had her name changed to "Wendy (Walter)." And unless she has ever asked to be referred to using an awkward dual set of pronouns, just use "her."
There's really no need for real or feigned confusion about peoples' clearly declared gender.
