You have to remove it first from the list when installing Modular and then add Heartbeat again, when you do that you see the modules pop up in the list on the right.elxsound wrote:Any Heartbeat owners demoing Modular able to use the Heartbeat modules?
I updated Heartbeat, but no modules in Modular. Am I missing something?

Just sent a message to support, however wondering if anyone else is getting crashes when they try to change patches? (Cubase 8.5, W10)

I kinda do believe you didn't mean any offense on purpose. The hostility and "lighten up" and "I don't care" as a reaction to being called on it don't bode too well though.
My brother is trans, and I am nonbinary. You may not think pronouns and names are that important, but trans people absolutely do. It's something they fight legal battles (and sometimes physical ones) over. Call it SJW or PC or whatever dismissive thing you like, but to the people involved this shit is vital.
A former coworker used to use the "him/her/whatever" and "Lisa-or-it-Joe" stuff referring to a pioneer in our industry, and a former band member used it to refer to a fan. They both did it to show their contempt and disapproval -- to make an issue of the person's gender when both the respectful AND the minimum-effort casual thing to do is just not make an issue of it.
And so it looked like you were doing the same, when after tedannemann referred to Wendy Carlos, you had to throw in a "Walter" and "him/her."
There. I've said my piece and will no longer disturb this thread unless I find something to say about Softube Modular.

Unfortunatley this is really silly indeed, on Windows you'll find the factory presets here:wagtunes wrote:Thanks. Now, any idea where the presets are stored?
c:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\Modular.aaxplugin\Contents\Factory Presets\Modular\
You can save your own presets here or whereever you'd like to...

The problem is, in Cubase, it's not giving me a choice. Their preset save system is so archaic it's almost as bad as DOS 3.1.tripleflows wrote:Unfortunatley this is really silly indeed, on Windows you'll find the factory presets here:wagtunes wrote:Thanks. Really, this is plain disgraceful.

Until they will not create a proper patch manager (which I am not aware of yet), you can still load the presets as they appear in the instrument browser in Cubase.
You can import these fxp's and convert them to vstpresets using the Cubase built-in converter.
Also, you can save your own patches as vstpresets into a separate folder.
All in all, you can manage all patches easily as vstpresets.

Ive created a new topic in the "Modular Synthesis" category for discussing patching tips and trick, so they are easier to find than in this general thread which covers a wide range of topics.
