It can be found in the master track inspector, among the actions.

this was added today.

A new beta version with working WASAPI will be uploaded tomorrow.
I achieved 4 msec latency in exclusive mode (also depends on the hardware).

I was thinking on the just mentioned "save track as template", that gets my +1

And came to the idea of counterpoint rules. The manual has a mention on the bibliography plus a quick search in this forum sent me to pg 2 of this thread. So now its again at pg 67

I know such focus is different from the pure software development we are all amazed to witness (since 2015 at my case), hence am not sure if such petition would detract from this...

Hello Attila and all the participants!
I have several times in different ways tried to suggest it ...
But apparently I explained it poorly! ..
Example.
I split the audio file (bass riff) to slice and received from him a midi file.
Drag the MIDI file to track in RC .

It is clear that this is a midi file is interesting rhythmic pattern (groove), but this is not the melody - all notes are located on the chromatic scale!
I propose to make on the phrase randomizer pitches, according to scale or chord, or both, or even with other options.
I press Randomizer Pitches and get a new tune with the original groove in accordance with the scale or chord!

I like this way to make phrases of audio (or MIDI) files!

Hi lulukom,
i understand you are looking for easy / fast pitch randomize function,
plus also i agree it would be useful in some cases...

but...just in case i couldn't resist to say...
you can do this if you use that bass riff midi as Rhythm source,
save this bass riff to Rhythm browser and use it in any of the RC Generators.
for example as in your suggestion:
if you want to get chord notes only use Arpeggiator Generator with this rhythm
or want to scale notes use Melody Generator with this rhythm.

Yes, Attila, I was sure that you answer that way! I tried to use the rhythm of the MIDI file, but I meant to save not only the groove but also the number of notes, controllers, Velocity, in general, would leave all but the only change the pitch of the notes (or rather will automatically convert the file into a tune).
Especially once we said that it will be possible to make the automatic installation option notes in the scale!

I cannot tell you a better advice than the one yellukhan wrote.
When you save a rhythm pattern, velocities are saved too.

However your note randomizer idea is not bad! A "Note Randomizer" variation is like a phrase generator, using the notes of an existing phrase. How about being able to turn an ordinary phrase into a phrase generator? You could right click on this phrase and select 'Convert to Melody Generator' for example, and the rhythm of the original phrase remains the same, but the notes are changed by the chosen phrase generator. Not bad at all!
