I'm pleased to announce the release of the Classic Moog bank and sample set. You can get it at:
http://bigtick.pastnotecut.org/djsmaurer/
You get 128 presets and 30.1 Meg of samples compressed to 9.17 Meg for easy downloading. Since other Moog emulations are avaiable, I chose a slightly different focus for this bank rather than to just mimic a Minimoog or my Source. What if you took that Moog sound and could layer and pan it several times, each layer with it's own filter settings, run it through great effects, and make it easy to tame with assignable sliders? You'd get classic sounds with a modern twist.
How does Classic Moog compare to the other Moog vsti's? C.M. is less expensive; $19 vs. about $200. C.M. is more CPU friendly since it uses samples instead of real time VA computation. C.M. has more internal effects available and a better stereo spread IMO. The only drawback might be that you have a finite set of samples to work with. However, with Rhino's flexibility to control these, that may never be noticed. If there is demand, I'd be happy to do another Moog sample set to cover other areas of sound design.
It's classic and fresh: Classic Moog has arrived!

My comments on these banks: this is Daniel's masterpiece. There are classic sounds there, for every kind of music. And the clever assignment of user sliders gives you the best of both worlds: great presets out of the box, and so damn easy to tweak...
Just listen to the audio samples to get convinced.

Daniel, my high compliments and congratulations. I have just licensed your Moog bank and I'm looking forward to getting much more familiar with it later today.
I wanted to also mention that I have been completely bowled over with the Bread n Butter/Morpheous collections. Good heavens, the "Fast Solo Trumpet" in BnB2 alone was enough to grab me by the most-personals and demand I license it. Best brass patches I've found anywhere--at any price--are in that bank.
Sir, I am your fan. I wish you the greatest success.

Guys, thanks for all the nice words. I've always been a fan of quality over quantity and have tried to focus on making usable patches. That's why it sometimes takes awhile between banks.
Stay tuned as more are coming!

Hi
I have all Dan's banks - just downloaded B&B2 & Moog - I mean I only had to listen to a couple of the demo's to get the plastic in action!
I will go and play now.
