FL studio CPU at 99%but task manager is at 50%

hi dear friends
my FL studio CPU usage will reach 99% and can not play projects well when the laptop task manager shows only 50%.
my laptop is:

Asus G551v w
intel i7 6700hq (4 physical core)
16Gb Ram DDR4

windows 10 64bit
Processor affinity is set to all.
Focustrite 2i2
fl studio 12.2.3 64bit
Time base(PPQ):96

What is the problem? I checked on a dual core laptop the percent was the same.
I heard that windows only support 2 physical core, and it maybe the cause of this problem, could it be right?

if i use only 5 lines of Spire Vst, the Cpu will be 99%

Does any one have 6700hq processor? I also tryed ASIO4All v2 with demo project "I wanna be from adam szabo & johnny norberg".when i play the Chours the 50% of Fl studio CPU is used while task manager Uses only 25%.
Does your Processor treat the same way?

This has been discussed Before. Task manager show CPU load at system level but FLS show CPU load based on FLS requirements. There is no relation between them.

If you want to get CPU load down in FLS you could try to optimise it. Ways to do that is to make sure your bitrate is not set too high, allow multithread processing in the fruity wrapper, etc.

another Question,you have a i7 CPU. I tryed ASIO4All v2 with demo project "I wanna be from adam szabo & johnny norberg".when i play the Chours the 50% of Fl studio CPU is used and 25% of task manager.
Does your Processor treat the same way? i feel there a problem in my laptop. even i3 PC feel more powerfull with lower percent of cpu usage.
and also windows 10 vs 7? which one is better for FL users?

I am in office and have Another laptop here with i5 CPU. When I check "I wanna be .." demo I get a max load of about 60% and at the same time it is about 30% in task manager. So it is double in FLS compared to the task manager (same as you).

If you just open FLS and do nothing. Is the CPU load down to a low value?

There are optimisations you can do. Use smart disable. allow threaded processing for the plugins used, check the bitrate (I use 44100Hz).

I had Windows 7 in my other laptop Before but upgraded to Windows 10. There is no difference in CPU load as far as I could see. I did however get 2 problems after upgrade. My Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 works but every time I boot up the computer I need to remove the USB Cable and re-connect it again. It has something to do with bitrate between 2i2 and Windows. Some times iLok does not work so I must manually go into Windows services and turn it on, all though it should be automatic. Neither Microsoft or Focusrite have been able to help me.

I found the answer:)
the problem is that external VSTs and Plugings, they use a lot of my CPU.For any external VST and plugin go to:

VST wrapper setting/Processing/turn on allow threaded processing and enjoy the power of your CPU.

For those of you wondering about the discrepancy between FL and the Task Manager - it's because FL maintains a %value of the cores used by FL whereas Task Manager monitors all CPUs. Hence:

99% in FL but 50% in Task Manager on a dual-core CPU means that FL is maxing out one CPU. As far as FL is concerned the CPU it is using is at full load, but Task Manager sees that as only half of the full system capacity.
